Let me tell you how you can eat healthy food by grilling it.
Steak: There are specific parts of the cuts among steaks that are healthier and carry less fat than other cuts. Pieces like Sirloin and Top round steak are leaner than the others. You need to cut off the visible fat that you can remove from the steak. Also, if you want to tenderize the steak as they lack of fat and can be hard, marinade it with vinegar. It will tenderize the meat while grilling. You can also use extra virging olive oil, salt, pepper and some lime juice.
Chicken: A simple trick to cut off chicken fat is to cut off the chicken skin. Yes, you need to sacrifice the juicy skin part but it is good for your health. Use less oil to grill the chicken and enjoy the smoky Indian style tandoori flavor. To bring the flavors you can use yogurt, vegetable oil, garlic paste, ginger and spice paste as you need. Mix all the flavors you love and grill it in 170 degrees until it’s fully ready.
Vegetables: Grilled vegetables are always delicious to eat. Especially those vegetables are tastier after grilling which contain more juicy elements inside it. So you should try to keep more vegetables in your food menu; like grilled onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, zucchini etc. You can add a grilled apple or peach dessert with some cinnamon dust and little amount of honey.
Fish: You can always eat fish as your protein source and have least amount of fat. Just remove the skin portion and the fat under it. Add lemon juice, some oregano, salt and your favorite spices. You get full mouth of flavor without consuming lot of calories. Try olive oil to marinate the fish fillet and it will taste more delicious. You can also prepare sea foods, shrimp, scallops and low calorie fishes that can taste awesome after grill.
So there are lots of options to maintain your weight even while having grilled foods. You just need to remove the fatty portion of your food and move to a healthier routine.
