“That’s stupid,” Shay said, for lack of anything better to say. “If they can…throttle me or whatever then I should be able to punch them back.”
Shay discovers during an ill-fated encounter with an old mirror that she has ghost touch. She can touch ghosts, but they can touch her back, and most of them aren’t friendly.
With the help of her best friend, an anxious witch, a graphic designer turned ghost hunter, her annoying brother, and an amnesiac ghost, she has to race against time to save her town from supernatural forces.
And that’s just the first weekend.

Ghost Punch: Grim Reflection is the story of friendship, ghosts, friendships with ghosts, kidnapping, and tearing the veil between worlds open for selfish gain.
Shay is our main character. She didn’t believe in ghosts. Until she was attacked by one and starts seeing ghosts everywhere. Even worse, they can touch her, and they mostly seem to want to use this ability to hurt her.
Things get worse when her brother, Duncan, is possessed and kidnapped.
Shay, along with her best friend Max, a witch named Jo, and a ghost hunter named Gideon have to fight ghosts, be pulled through a mirror portal, and make friends with the Finnias, the ghost possessing Duncan because he’s the only one who seems to have any idea what is going on.
And what’s happening is someone who can control ghosts is tearing open the veil between worlds to give themselves a powerful army.

What was Shay's dream job growing up?
That’s actually a large part of her problem at the beginning of Grim Reflection - she doesn’t know. She went through a million phases (veterinarian, doctor, world famous singer, actress, teacher, zoologist, marine biologist, librarian, etc) but couldn’t really ever stick with one. She didn’t do poorly in high school but she didn’t do amazing, and that limits her college picks, and she’s not sure she even wants to go to college without knowing what she wants to do because it could just be a big waste of money and time.
That, and she’s terrified of growing up and working as some cog in the corporate wheel until she dies.
So for now she works at a corner store and is doing the paranormal investigator thing with Max, which at the very least provides her with weekend plans that are highly entertaining.
Luckily she might find the solution to this problem sooner than she thought.
