On this Halloweek, we turn our thoughts to costumes.  Everyone dresses up, enjoys dressing up.  Some people think of Grimace as a costume in fact, something that a person might dress up as.  And that’s not wrong!  Not at all.  Grimace costumes are a real and present thing that all are welcome to wear.

But Grimace, in his Name, is more than that.  The costumes in restaurants all over this world were never more than something intended to spread his love.  To make people smile, and let them know that they are loved.  So when you see someone in a Grimace costume, rejoice!  Whether they know it or not, they are servants of the Purple One.  In his Light, and in his Name.

The Wedding of the Century

Good afternoon, everyone.  And may the blessings of our Purple Savior be upon you this day.

We are gathered here today, In His Name, to celebrate that which he loves most: love.  Love is a bag of french fries that never get cold and soggy.  A Sprite filled with the perfect amount of ice, sweating on a hot summer’s day.  Love is what Grimace brings us, and what he wishes for all of us.  And nothing could make him happier than to bless this special day, this union born of love that knows no limits, no boundaries, only the joining of two hearts forever and always.  In His Name.

And who could imagine a more wonderful pair?  Flopz, the most dashingest bunny I ever did lay eyes on.  By far one of my favorite cousins, a charmer and one heckin’ good dancer - you should see him bunny hop!  Doesn’t he look perfectly splendid today, everyone?  In His Name, he does!

And then, his gorgeous partner Drizzle.  Some people call her a space cowboy, some people call her the gangster of love.  Me, I’m lucky enough to call her family.  Charming, smart, and stylish, with the best house a guinea pig has ever owned, Drizzle is quite a catch.  And today, they’ve caught each other!  In His Name.

Before we proceed, I ask that anyone who knows a cause that these two should not be wed step outside and not interrupt.  The presence of the Great Purple is among us, and he has no time or patience for those who would try to interfere with this blessed moment.  As for the rest of us, I think it’s important that we be closer to this love.  If everyone could kneel, please?  Yes, I’m going to as well, just like this.  See?  Isn’t that so much better?  Perfect, thank you.  In His Name.

Flopz, Drizzle, we are profoundly grateful to join you here on your special day, surrounded by His love.  What the two of you have found is special, profoundly so, and the rest of the world should see your shining example and learn from it.  If you could present each other with your ceremonial vegetables, please.  Uncle Rory, Uncle Finn, please give them a hand.  Wonderful!

It’s my understanding that the two of you have written your own vows today.  Flopz?

Oh my, that was gorgeous.  Drizzle, I believe you’re next?  Oh don’t cry, gorgeous, it’s okay.  There you go!  Lovely!

By the power vested in me by the Church of Grimace, and in the presence of these onlookers, I pronounce you joined of heart and soul for now and for always.  May you always back in the purple light of his love, and may your love inspire others in turn.  In His Name.  Everyone, may I introduce the new couple - Flopz and Drizzle!

The snack table at the back of the room has nuggets and sprite for all, but please don’t feed our honored couple.  Fried food isn’t good for them.  Thank you everyone for coming, and He wishes you joy, happiness, and all the best of life.  Have great days, all of you, In His Name.

Today, we meditate on a simple phrase:

I’m lovin’ it.

And what is it, a person might ask?  In the case of Grimace, it is everything.  All of us.  All the world.  He loves it all, and he asks for so little in return.  Not even to love him - but to love each other.  To be good to each other.  To wear a jacket when you’re cold, sleep when you’re tired, and take care of yourself in all ways.

Pride Month

Hello Everyone!

So, after a period of silence and reflection our Purple Majesty has passed down his words to me to dissemble to all of you!  His is not a new revelation but a timely one, In His Name.  

With the exception of March, and its glorious return of shakes of shamrock and Irish uncles, there is no time of year that Grimace loves more than Pride.  After all, what could be more keeping with his message than a time that reminds us that there is nothing greater than love?  He reminds us, over and over, to love ourselves and everyone around us.  His love knows no limits, no boundaries, and is denied to no one, and He wishes nothing more than that for all of us as well.

And that is His message to you this month.  Love, and be open to love in all of its wonder.  Let it fill you up, let it carry you through the heat of summer days and the pleasant summer nights.  Try to find fulfillment, and if you struggle to do so remember that the world is filled with others on that same journey - you never know where you might find someone who fulfills you the way you may do for them in turn.

And of course, if you need to bond with someone new, there is no better way than over an ice cold Sprite and a McNugget meal.
