She took a deep breath, enjoying the wind on her face. “I heard rumor of a dark god lurking on the Sacean Plain. I was curious, and if anything it was a fair reason for me to return here.” she said with a soft smile. “I missed this place.”

His words seemed to irk her a little bit, Causing her to temporarily clamp her jaw down tighter. She was by no means intending to cause any injury, And after a moment or so- her grip around him loosened, Along with the fact that she decided to stop biting after it seemed to be ineffective. Damn- and she wanted a reaction out of him, Too. Why.. did she want a reaction? was she.. starting to feel the need for attention around him? likely not- after all.. she was used to being alone. And she felt like he was more then annoyed at her right now- was the laugh faked?

Silently, She simply stepped back and looked at him- curious as to what his actions would be. An attentive tilt of her head as she processed his words a bit more.. that's happened multiple times to him? no, It couldn't have. Still, She found that words were on the edges of her lips- and she'd opened her mouth to say something, But all that came out was silence.. every time she attempted- so eventually she just gave up on speaking.

Oceana smiled a little up at him, before straightening their hair back out. “ Yes, my Lord! ” Dark eyes sparkled happily as the dragon continued to walk next to the other.

“What were we doing again?” He sits up rubbing one eye with the back of his hand, before glancing down to the floor where a purple book laid open. “No more reading.” He mumbles, leaning back against the couch.

“Well nothing is wrong at the moment, per say. It’s more like I want to take precaution. With the Black Fang and their sorts waiting out there, it is wise to have an eye out. Wouldn’t you agree?” Nix wasn’t going to take chances when a group of assassins had their sights set on the young lords leading the company. Plus it was a good way to try and sort out her thoughts or simply take her mind off them. “And what are you studying exactly, Canas? More spells?” Part of her wanted to hear his thoughts on the rune she bore on her neck but also didn’t want to add more to what he already had. It seemed he always had some sort of tome handy..

"...How do you feel about pets?"

She wasn't sure what that was supposed to imply, Or what it meant- what did he mean by pets? Just what was it? Did it mean what she thought it meant? Probably not, But you could never be too sure.

"That all depends on your definition of pet." she told him, Her empty gaze falling to her hands- hands that had killed what others would deem pets- slavery- imprisoned lives taken by the blade of her sword, And a swift swing to the neck.

Yukari woke groggily and sat up on her elbow as she rubbed her eyes with her free hand.

’..I don’t want to go back to sleep, not yet. But..Instead of tea, bring me a pastry from the castle pantry. I want something sweet.’ An unhealthy snack, so late at night.
