okok so here we go. Grimm's Cringe Time (positive)

Sooo the f/o I wanted to gush about was Convulsing Nurse, a Spirit Halloween animatronic. Our ship is queerplatonic and is called "BadMedicine" (after a Bon Jovi song). Luckily, since she's a Halloween prop, there's not any "canon" or background lore you need to learn (though I have written my own lore for her). All you need to know is that she's a spooky nurse animatronic with very serious injuries. Also, she doesn't have a canon name, but I've given her the headcanon name "Constance" or "Connie."

What makes Connie unique is that she is a victim character. Most other animatronics are killers or monsters, but Connie is clearly a victim of some horrible tragedy. Even scarier, it's never specified what exactly happened to her; it's entirely up to your imagination. To me, the scariest kind of horror is the kind that is ambiguous; your own mind is scarier than what the narrative can directly tell you. Which is what makes Connie so awesome!!

Now you're probably wondering, "Grimm, why in the everloving fuck would you selfship with a character like this?" (/silly). Well uh. She's pretty 🥺. But for an actual answer, I love how ambiguous her story is, because it allows me to write my own story for her and nothing can ever be "out-of-character." Also, I find a sense of beauty in macabre things--things that other people may be scared or disgusted by. And finally, she's just my favorite animatronic ever, and I really wanted to ship her with someone so I decided to make a self-insert lol.

Aaaaand uh that's it! :D (btw if you plan to look her up, be aware that her design contains gore and mutilation, and her animation is kinda disturbing. But the gore isn't super realistic, it's like the kind you would find on a Halloween prop)

All of this is fair and understandable. I think I selfshipped with people who are either COMPLETELY EVIL or monsters before (Blackheart from Marvel, The Auditor from Madness Combat etc). Plus that's BASED I love obscure F/Os literally all of my biggest ones are obscure AF. I always thought this would as unique when I saw it yeah. Don't be ashamed Grimm. Be FREE to do this man. He free!

Oh and one more thing,, my friend came up with a headcanon name for him so we didn't have to keep saying "the creature"--Adam. Based on how he compares himself to the biblical Adam.

The fact I got this when I am almost done with the book (I'm at page 246 rn) is so cool. I can't remember any quotes from the book so far because they're like structured in a way that makes my brain hurt. But yeah I remember this moment. The creature just wanted to be loved but everyone else didn't want to. What the hell Victor you're a good boyfriend but a terrible dad.

Also yeah I call him Adam. For some reason I may want to name him herb though.

Alright Gatorade-broski, buckle up because it’s yuri time >:3 

Note: I came up with this story like 2 days ago, so it’s still a wip and stuff may change later on. Currently I’ve given it the title “Mirror, Mirror” but this is just a placeholder. I also don't have any art of the characters rn but when I do make it I can share it with you /nf

So basically. There’s a lady named Tiffany Blews (Fall Out Boy reference). She’s polite, quiet, unobtrusive, stays in her place, and is honestly forgotten by a lot of people. She thinks of herself as being “average” and “normal” in every aspect—but she’s actually emotionally repressed. She hides the parts of herself that aren’t “perfect” (interests, negative emotions, flaws, etc), whether consciously or not. Maybe she wants to seem normal, or maybe she just doesn’t think she’s capable of being extraordinary. 

Well, somebody out there thinks she’s extraordinary. There’s a doppelgänger creature that lives inside mirrors who has fallen in love with Tiffany. It has copied her appearance and even taken a similar name—Tammy Hues. And Tammy loves Tiffany sooooo much that she turned Tiffany’s house into an endless, inescapable mirror maze. Within this maze, Tammy pursues her love and asks Tiffany to “join her” (with no elaboration on what that means).

Tammy is loud and passionate and takes up space, and doesn’t quite understand social norms (girlie you can’t just trap a girl in a labyrinth). She almost represents Tiffany’s “worst” aspects, but these things aren’t actually bad; they’ve just been conditioned out of Tiffany. And now that Tiffany is surrounded by mirrors, she can no longer ignore this side of herself.

Uhh when I said it was yuri I miiiight have been a bit misleading (/silly). Yes there’s two girls in love,, but it’s not exactly a traditional form of romance? (i’m too aroace for that lmao). It’s more like a metaphor for accepting the “worst” parts of yourself—things you were taught to hate and cover up, but are actually perfectly fine. This can be a metaphor for many different things (neurodivergency, queerness, misogyny, etc). But most of all the story is about really strange yuri. Girls kissing, like if you agree (/silly).

This is PEAK IDEA CONCEPT. Love this concept of a monster girl who loves her gf so much she literally tries to be her and keep her close. Interesting idea and antagonist. I'll happily read it once you are done with it NGL
