Grimmeryn playlist? 👀

Okay so I'm gonna preface this with a big disclaimer that I have a weird relationship to music so these picks are all over the place and generally story-specific because That's How My Brain Works

Do I know how to draw consistently? Nope. Do I know how to draw romantic scenes? NOT AT ALL ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
But you know what, @iturbide dragged me into this ship (I say dragged, but really, they showed me the hole and I jumped in), SO I MIGHT AS WELL GO ALL IN.
I swiped the manakete! Grima design from them because there isn't enough manakete! Grima in the world....eeeven if I couldnt do him justice fjrjf
I HOPE YOU ENJOY THE GRIMMERYN THO ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
There is something so heartbreaking yet so tempting about the notion of Emmeryn wearing Grima’s coat when they’re separated
Consider: love like you by Rebecca Sugar as a Gimmeryn song. "I always thought I might be bad, now I'm sure that its true, cuz I think you're so good and I'm nothing like you." And also "I could even learn how to love like you... love me like you"
I love that song so much and I had never even considered it as a Grimmeryn song but now I'm never going to be able to shake that association thanks for that (100% genuine)
oh man, I just realized I first read Future Built in 2017, it's been so long :o and it's still one of my favorite fics of all time ofc! I really can't remember whether you've talked about this before or not, but do you plan on having Morgan make an appearance in the story?
It's crazy to think that I started writing it in 2016, honestly. I legitimately don't know where the time goes but I'm so happy it's still one of your favorites even after all this time ❤
And you know, Morgan has come up before in brief, and even now my plans for her aren't 100% set in stone, because they hinge on events in Part 2 that I'm waffling on.
you should tell your followers about how grimmeryn went out to have a pleasant picnic and you came along and ruined it
oh
oh yes I did do that
So a couple days ago I was running around in the Training Tower cleaning up some of the January quests, as you do, when I chanced across a map that had the most fascinating set of enemies
this is of course after I took out the guards
so yeah apparently Grima and Emmeryn went out for a nice picnic and then I came along and ruined it with Team Fam
Can I get some Emmeryn and Grima from The Future Built Upon the Past?
oh wow diving straight into spoiler territory I see
🖋 Sibling AU please. End the year with some bless Grimmeryn stuff.
Will I ever turn down an opportunity to write Grimmeryn?
The answer is no

“Out on another one of your late night wanders?”
Grima paused, glancing over his shoulder with a vague smile. “Have I disturbed you?”
“Not at all,” Emmeryn laughed, adjusting her pale shawl as she moved to join him. “What brings you by tonight? Not more trouble, I hope…”
Her frown eased when he shook his head. “Nothing of the sort. I am restless. That is all.”
“Are you often restless at home?” she asked.
“...not as much, unless there is trouble of some sort,” he admitted.
She frowned again as she fell into step beside him, and he measured his stride to better match hers. “Is something wrong, then?”
Her worry was so earnest it almost made him laugh. As it was, he could not suppress the smile that twitched at the corner of his mouth. “It is nothing you need concern yourself with--”
“But it does worry me,” she insisted. “Please. Whatever it is, I would like to know.”
Grima looked away, training his gaze on the shadows at the far end of the corridor. “...I am ill at ease in the room I was provided.”
He sensed her confusion, but said nothing more to dispel it. “Is something amiss with it?” she pressed.
“Not from an Ylissean stance,” he muttered. As her hand came to rest on his arm, he sighed, glancing down at her again. “All of your trappings and fixtures are pale. Grey and white and silver. It is what you favor: it abounds in every room I have yet seen.”
“It is quite common,” she agreed. “White and silver are close to Naga…”
“Yes,” he agreed, watching the revelation dawn across her face. “In Plegia such colors are used only in times of mourning following a death; I feel as though I am trapped within a funeral that shows no sign of ending. My brother seems less affected, though he also has the flowers your brother brings him to hide some of it--”
“I’m so sorry -- I didn’t know.”
Grima paused, canting his head at the woman beside him. “I did not expect you to.”
“But it causes you discomfort -- and you already suffer enough of that in the court.”
Even if he had not intended to speak the words, himself, he could not deny the truth in them.
“Would you join me a while?” she asked, offering her hand. “I know my rooms are not so different from yours, but...perhaps the company might help?”
“...perhaps,” he conceded. And another faint grin twitched at his lips as he accepted it.
