Title says it all. Grimmjow is tackled in the woods outside Karakura while prowling one night. He initially thinks it is Ichigo who has had a psychotic break, but soon finds out it is not-Ichigo who had a pyschotic break long ago and is fine with it. After some showing off, they become friends. Ichigo does not know Zangetsu and Grimmjow are buddies until he wakes up in the woods with a laughing blue-haired espada next to him. --- Well fuck. Now Grimmjow was thoroughly confused. “So, are you a rogue zanpakuto Kurosaki needs to find and cut down or are you… something else?”
Zangetsu’s head knocked back from the force of his laugh. It was loud and completely unappealing, but clearly one of self-made amusement. “Ya could say i’m ‘something else’. King never lets me out on my own so I’m not surprised ya don’t know,” he cleared his throat and tried to look intimidating, “I’m the hollow in Ichigo Kurosaki, the source of his soul reaper powers, and the one who kicked Ulqiorra’s ass.”
