Zodiac Signs + Meanings
Almost every person knows their sun sign. The sign that is dictated by the placement of the sun at the time of their birth. However, learning one’s rising (also known as ascendant) or moon sign might be a bit more difficult.
Luckily, there are a few ways to find out what your rising or moon signs are. But I find that using a sign calculator is an easier and quicker method than doing the calculations on your own. There are several websites with which you can accomplish this, but this is one of my personal favourites. To calculate your ascendant or moon sign, input your date and time of birth, as well as your place of birth.
Now that you’ve figured out how to calculate your signs, you must ask yourself, what does it all mean?
• Your Sun sign, also known as your Zodiac sign, represents who you are at your core. It is often the easiest sign to identify with, and it is the one that tells you what most people with your same sign like or dislike.
• Your Moon sign is the homebase for your emotions. It is the root of your attitude towards certain situations, people, and yourself.
• Finally, your Rising/Ascendant sign is the aspect of yourself that you project to the world. It is how you present yourself. Some astrologers believe that this sign will also show you your soul’s purpose.
