I'm not arguing with the points about Her, but Grindr HAS attempted to expand to be a bigger dating app. It has tons of gender, orientation, and "looking for" options. It's just still vastly used by gay men.

Yes, someone did point that out to me and as I said, I’m glad it’s not an example of misogyny against queer women. However, I feel like expanding Grindr has the same issues as expanding Her, namely that it complicates a situation it was wdesigned to simplify and it presents being primarily or solely attracted to your own gender as less progressive than more “fluid” queer identities.
