Yummy yummy in my tummy! Stopped by @gringostaco the other night with my soccer teammates to get some post-game tacos - and these babies hit the spot! Two “Tuna Tar-Tacos” with #1 ahi tuna, avocado puree, mango salsa, sesame seeds, spicy mayo, scallions, microgreens served on a crispy wonton shell - $12. You can get a lettuce wrap instead of shell, but that’s kinda lame in my opinion! 😉 + Two “Buffalo Soldier” tacos with tempura jumbo shrimp, gringo’s buffalo sauce, carrot celery slaw, ranch crema (VEG Option: tempura cauliflower!) for $10. YUMMMMMMM 🤤 as always, doused the suckers in hot sauce for extra kick - this place now has El Yucateco's Red Habanero Hot Sauce on the table. 🔥🔥🔥 the interior of the place is pretty funky with a food truck in the back, a large bar with a changing-color glowing neon sign, different themed piñatas on shelves you can literally choose from and smack with a bat if it’s yo b-day! 😜 they also have a Tuesday all-you-can-eat taco special that I’ll explain in a different post - but the tacos here aren’t included in that 👎🏼 the staff is interesting bc everyone is pretty friendly for the most part but sometimes they’re not coordinated with each other or a bit inattentive... I seriously can’t complain doe bc they hooked me up with these dope tacos and gave me a huge free cup of whipped cream after. post was too long to be a response message so it's a new post /// pt 1 @freshricks there might come a day when the home owners & long term residents, people involved with the industry, my friends and some people as much family to me as any one else who is will choose to forgive you. but some of us know what the original "taco war" was and if you don't that just proves the point. it's not about winning. at this point it's about laughing at you and not with you. but go ahead succeed, make the best tacos in town, make a scene your crowd will love and show us all you are not the reactionary fool who might not really have the fortitude to do it we think you are. i volunteered my home to anyone you insulted with your petty baseless arrogant message. i invited them over to drink eat and be fucking merry. something i've done for a while now. you will probably continue to be the butt of the joke for a while because of that message. we had the first annual PLEASE CHILD taco day on sunday. some 30 people came by to pay their respect to you. we had ropa, carnitas, taco potion # 19 beef, carne asada, chimi beef, chorizo and potato, vegetarian beef, salmon & avocado tacos. all those who you insulted brought food to the table we drank homemade margaritas, fresh watermelon margaritas & cantoritas until we were dumb full. we rose our glasses and toasted you until our arms were tired. thank you for providing a common bond. you did though enlighten me. i only ever heard the words "kick rocks" (much like gringo) in a derogatory way. i myself had to do some research. i had seen biker type shirts that would say shit like "borders closed kick rocks"or some stupid ass macho right wing bullshit. so from me personally thank you. you have given me the gifts of "PLEASE CHILD" & "go kick rocks" as someone who barely put 5 years in a kitchen and bailed when the "chef" (a word i hold in reverence myself and think too many people throw it around when they should say COOK) i worked for beat me out of it. i think you might need some thicker skin. if that is how you will respond to bad takes on your vibe in general you are going to have a miserable time running thing #gringostacos (at Gringo's Tacos)
