Inktober 52 2025 - Week 29 - 'Sardine' BONUS
I think there's a worm in my food.
"FRESH AS THE SEA!"
Inktober 52 2025 - Week 15 - 'Vista'
I have a soft spot for Windows Vista, a buggy as it was. It definitely had worms; but they were colourful and new.
When I went to uni I needed a decent computer to do my animation work, at home the family computer was Windows XP and my personal computer at the time was the previous family computer which had Windows 98 on it (this was 2008 folks). My dad was a programmer and could upgrade things so that a computer with windows '98 could function 10 years later, but it could only do so much. We couldn't afford a whole new desktop for me, and a cheap laptop wouldn't cope with the renderings at the time (My partner @scifer destroyed many a laptop proving that).
But my parents did a bunch of research and found I could get a grant for a new computer, which would double up to help me with my dyslexia. It was a simple thing in desktop standards and came with plenty of TERMS AND CONDITIONS for its use (and for some unknown reason had this utterly pointless partitioned drive) but it could run rendering, and it had the most modern windows at the time-
Windows Vista.
...sorry one sec-
Animation has the kinds of tech bros who wanted to lecture me on how I should just 'buy a better computer with Windows 7 lol'. But I liked my computer. It was new and mine, and it was put through its paces. Now long gone and remembered for being rather temperamental, but it got the job done.
And you try doing animation and everything in 2008 on a computer barely holding together on the tape of Win '98 and then come back to me.
Inktober 52 2024 - Week 30 - 'Mutation'
"Here at Alpha Genetics, we can promise you that your personalized Grinning Worm will never mutate or change outside the bounds of what we personalize for you. No record of mutation has occurred in our history, and we strive to give you a worm that cannot mutate or alter its own genetic coding. You can place your trust in us that we'll never allow any form of deviation to ever occur."
This was fun. I went a bit over board with the editing (like I always do, got @scifer to come in a pick a version to go with, which is the lower right edit). Have collage of different versions I also liked:

I feel this one is called 'In-Twain' even if it's gone too far also.
Inktober 52 2023 - Week 23 - ‘Mask’
I was going to finally upload my ideas for what the Quarians from mass effect looked like for this prompt as I dug out the loft my old art from years ago including some of my ideas and designs for them. But I’m buried in paper right now, and I need more time to dig out all my old art, scan it and do a long explanation as to why I designed them the way I did. Basically It needs more attention, and I’m a bit busy at the moment, so instead have a little creature dump involving the theme of masks.
Bottom left is a fakemon. Poison type involving gas masks. Maybe an armadillo-like Pokémon who changed to poison after eating pollutants when its environment was destroyed by industrial waste. Now it eats the toxins and emits both clean air, or poisonous air as a defence.
Worm masks because of course. Grinning worms are meant to be part technological, so these masks prevents your worm from being hacked or doxxed in their part-computer brains. Customizable to match your personal worm!
