Why Valentino and Alastor don't hate each other
My Valastor delulu for the day is that so far in canon there is absolutely NO indication that Valentino and Alastor hate each other personally, and we can see this a LOT more from Valentino's side
But first, from Alastor's side; he only refers to Valentino once during Stayed Gone and when he does it's essentially a compliment, saying that Valentino (and Velvette) are the only reason Vox is powerful, YES he could just be saying that to get under Vox's skin, but he doesn't strike me as the kind of guy to compliment someone he hates just for a petty dig at someone else
NOW FROM VALENTINO'S SIDE, OH FUCKING BOY!! Valentino's first reference to Alastor is with the line 'someone who owes us much more than money, the radio demon is there.' IN THAT SMUG, TEASING TONE. He HID the fact that he knew Alastor was back from Vox, granted he could have found out that very same day, but he didn't tell Vox immediately, and his reasoning for that is the famous line that had me screaming, 'Hey, killing Alastor is YOUR kink'. He EXPLICITLY states that he has no desire to kill Alastor and any and all beef with him is ENTIRELY Vox, he could not give LESS of a fuck about that man, it's incredible.
That's further shown in Stayed Gone when Valentino and Velvette are annoyed by Vox singing about Alastor, and then later on in the finale where Vox is SO invested in the Adam fight, but Val and Vel are more interested in their phones, the only time Valentino shows an emotion that isn't complete disinterest is when Lucifer makes an innuendo and when Vox says Alastor almost dying is better than sex, which clearly upsets Val lmfao
(There is the brief reference to Alastor from Val/Vox in the finale song where Val does seem excited about Alastor's absence, but it's probably just more about the 'power vacuum' and their opportunity to gain power, rather than it being SPECIFICALLY at Alastor's potential demise)
Now circling back to that 'someone who owes us much more than money' comment, what does THAT mean? I've seen a LOT of people theorize that Alastor is the one responsible for Valentino's damaged antennae, but I personally don't believe that's the case.
Why? Because of all the evidence I just stated about how much Valentino DOESN'T CARE about Alastor. Not a single bit. Valentino throughout season 1 is shown to be extremely volatile with a hair trigger temper, he gets extremely agitated when things don't go his way, especially in regards to Angel Dust, and HATES when Vox ignores him, snapping at him and even breaking his phone when it pulls Vox's attention from him. He was willing to throw down with Charlie, the PRINCESS OF HELL if Angel hadn't stopped him. Valentino is filled with anger and hate, don't you think if Alastor had attacked him, if Alastor had SCARRED him (A man that clearly cares about his physical appearance), don't you think that would inspire an OUNCE of hate? Of vengeance? But Valentino. Doesn't. Care. (And we could also take into account the theory that Valentino may not be able to fly because of this injury as moths use their antennae to help them do so)
I think killing Alastor WOULD be Valentino's kink if Alastor had attacked him and injured him so severely, but it isn't, because he didn't.
But if it wasn't Alastor then what? Vox also has a damaged antennae on the same side, which is interesting, and could mean they were both attacked at the same time, but it would mean they had to be facing the same direction.
My theory is, they either did it to each other, or Valentino's injury is a result of Angel attacking him, which would add fuel to Valentino's anger at Angel's mere existence. ( Or, the crack theory of yes it was Alastor but Valentino liked it lmfao)
Also. It's entirely possible that Valentino and Alastor have NEVER met, at least not YET.
The old Vox and Alastor photo is sepia/greyscale, AKA OLD, the photo of younger/uninjured Valentino and Vox is in colour, I think Vox and Alastor had their fight and fell out long before Valentino was even in Hell. Valentino doesn't have beef with Alastor because they've NEVER met and his only experience is stories from Vox.
Tl;dr Valentino and Alastor canonically have the most neutral relationship and I SWEAR it's not just shipper goggles
