Two bros, just patching up one another lovingly and totally platonic >;3

Gris and Ingo have a lot of subtle intimacy? Idk what word to describe it, the two are just close and caring of one another especially during the phase of their relationship where it's almost the branching point of close friend to lover.

Gris is super clumsy and Ingo often rescues him from peril. Neither one can confess their feelings yet but they show love through action even it's never outright said.

Get you a partner that also has a special interest in a whole topic that also involves city traversal and public service and will listen to you ramble for five hours only to take their turn and ramble for another five and neither of you get bored or tired of it.

The comic is very short n sweet but I'm gonna ramble more about it tehehe (also this would take place before they even realize the two are pining for one another)

Gris went into a whole phase of their life where with the dream of being Alola's next champion they were determined to help around the region as much as they could and knew that some of the towns and cities were gonna get bigger and spent time learning about urbanism and got hooked on the topic. Now they're just wandering around Jubilife, the idea of how to turn it into a walkable and balanced town sometimes pops into their head.

And whenever Ingo talks about trains, even if Gris isn't interested in public transportation, Ingo just speaks with such conviction and passion and even with his spotty memory he makes up for it with other words to express how expanse and wonderful subways can be and also above ground trains too, that Gris can't help but listen because Ingo doesn't look so tired or ragged in those moments and looks alive and passionate.

But Ingo forgets that he's not just talking to a random pearl clan member or survey corp person, so when he unfocuses he realizes that he was rambling on and on and probably boring Gris since most other people just think he's a weird outlander but it's the exact opposite and Gris also thinks it's very cute that he got embarrassed over something he enjoyed talking about, but also is shocked that he'd think he was annoying them when he was just enjoying talking about stuff he liked.

So Gris, wanting to make Ingo feel comfortable and also valid that it's okay to chat about it, brings up aspects of what they know and related to trains and city/town planning. Basically nerding out with him <3

And then Ingo remembers that this isn't a random pearl clan member or guardsmen, it's his new best friend (that he feels very fuzzy and warm around and makes him smile even without trying wink wink) and he relaxes and gets to listen about a whole new topic he wasn't aware of. Like sharing video essays from memory as a form of love language with your best friend that you're totally not falling in love with basically ya know ya know.
