This BaeRi hug!

Seungri was 16 years old here (episode 9 of BB: The Beginning). This BaeRi hug happened just was he was kicked out of BigBang. Seungri literally had to bus by himself carrying his stuff from the dorms with him alone.

None of the other members saw him off. GD didn’t like Seungri at the start. He was probz okay with Daesung and Top as well but all four of them were particularly close to Hyunseung, preferred Hyungseung...

Only Taeyang saw Seungri off when he left. He didn’t have any of the other members. He only had Taeyang to say goodbye to.

Now ... 12 years later... Taeyang has to be on his tiptoes to give that same boy a hug...

The same boy that no one else wanted to say goodbye too.

Taeyang... thank you for being with Seungri since the beginning. You truly are an Angel.

Plans

I thought I’d share a few words (well quite a lot actually) regarding my plans for this story. The first installment, Seungri: The Beginning, is ending with the release of Chapter 18 (soon). This will immediately be followed by Jiyong: In the Middle (preview), which ISN’T the same story told in Jiyong’s perspective. Rather the continuation of Seungri: The Beginning told in Jiyong’s perspective. The setting starts from early 2011. This will be followed by the third and last installment Us: The End, which is set around 2015 and onwards (hopefully...)

I try to make this story as canon-compliant as I can by extensively researching Big Bang events, their individual social media posts, BB song lyrics, and well… Nyongtory conspiracies (lol). Although most landmark events are accurate, there are still obviously some unavoidable inaccuracies. Most of the things in this fic are based on things they say in interviews, promotions, or social media whatevers. I just filled in blanks so that I could organize my fantasizing of Nyongtory.

My Vision

So far, this story stemmed from G-Dragon’s Motte aesthetic and Seungri’s recent album release of The Great Seungri.

My little sister, who’s recently reviewed the story, asked me why the fuck I’ve turned both GD and Seungri into depressing shits who cry in every chapter… Well it is angsty so… Don’t we live for that kind of shit? But really, I wanted them to be a mess, because they have a hard time accepting themselves, each other, and their positions. The main issue being a struggle for identity with each other, their alter egos, and their position in Big Bang as the main reasons they can’t be together.

Well, aside from their recent releases, I also drew a lot of my inspiration from The Great Gatsby. Seungri has an obsession with the Great Gatsby, which I find beautifully fitting considering GD’s adoration for daisies. I think people can really draw a lot of inspiration from that. It’s the thought that Seungri sees himself as Gatsby, whose obsession is Daisy (GD), his greatest motivation for success as a businessman (artist in this case), yet his greatest downfall as a man. It’s pretty but a painful image, kind of like the entire Motte tour.

I just feel so deprived because there just aren’t enough Nyongtory fics that focus on the real life depth, or potential depth, that these two actually have (but shit the quality of fanfics being produced these days are fucking magnifique… I’ve been living on the nyongtory tag in AO3 and there are so quality stuff there BUT there’s honestly not a lot of Nyongtory fics in general... there are more gtop vips....I, myself, was a gtop shipper originally). BUT I do see a lot of people dedicating theories of what things mean to both Jiyong and Seungri or events, posts of the two that seem oddly fitting on ig so I mean (49Oppas, Earth.Sky.Ocean and many others)… I just wanted those in story version hence why…

So…

Right now, I do find it hard to read the first few chapters (idk parts of it is awkwardly written) so after my exam season, the entire thing will probz receive a major upgrade, just in terms of writing and consistency. So that’ll happen sometime mid-November… maybe… if I don’t end up working my entire break away.

I really, really, really, love the concept of this story but I haven’t exactly produced it in the way that I wish. But that’s okay, I’m no expert writer.

I just love being able to share my fantasies with others. Even if there are only a dozen people reading this, that’s okay with me. But the few that do read and appreciate my story I am grateful. I suck at responding to peoples’ comments, but I do love reading and re-reading them (I screenshot some of them). I love all your comments but y’alls commenting are overall just too nice. Love you guys (idk why but lately whenever I say guys I hear Seungri’s voice in my head).

Please feel free to talk to me about anything. Idk maybe if you need someone to dump your Nyongtory feels or theories, I’m fee to listen. Or maybe if y’alls just want to talk about the potential of parallel universes in the infinite multiverse theory, or the largest culmination of superheroes coming together in the Marvel multiverse. Whatever it is, just talk to me in any medium you want. The reason I’ve kept this story here, and I’ve refused to upload it on AO3 or AFF, is because I love the intimacy of keeping it here (although I was a ghost on tumblr for like 6 years so …)…

So idk… be intimate or not…idk I’m cool with anything really.
