So I’m officially on my first ‘Rest Day’ of the Buti Yoga Rise Beginner Series 60-Day Challenge and realized I needed to document my progress.
So, I started last Saturday with the Ground 1 video. Definitely a workout (220 calories burned in 30 minutes!) and I loved it. Bizzie Gold is such a badass and so easy to follow along with. You can’t help but love her! Also, I discovered my hips are like Tin Man so static shaking has been my BIGGEST challenge so far!
On Sunday, it was on to Day 2 which was Ground 2 workout. This one had a lot more floor work and my thighs were feeling it. I didn’t burn as many calories as the first video but was challenged for sure.
As part of the 60-Days, you repeat Ground videos 1&2 for a few weeks before moving onto Alchemize 1&2 and finally Rise 1&2. Not even through week one yet but motivation is here so that’s the important part.
Yesterday, I was back into Ground 1 workout and did find that my body got into positions easier than Day 1 (bonus). Sadly, my hips are still being stiff and awkward. I’m just too uptight these days!
I’ll be doing Ground 2 workout tomorrow and I’m really excited. Part of me wants to try to knock it out in the morning... but I really do LOVE my extra 30 min of sleep each day.
All in all, I’m loving this series. They are true beginner workouts which I love (since my other Buti Yoga DVDs were too advanced for my stiff hips). I’m hopeful by the end of 60-days that I’ll be prepared to take a live class!
