Grounding is a way to center yourself, feel connected to the earth, and remind yourself that you are inhabiting a human body. Grounding is something to turn to when you feel emotionally exhausted, anxious, psychically drained, or just in need of returning to the physical present moment. There are many different methods from grounding, from the mundane to the profound, from simple activities to thorough rituals.
I have spoken with many people recently who feel drained, sad without reason, anxious, or uncomfortable. Perhaps this has something to do with the time of the year, maybe it’s something astrological. Either way these past couple of weeks have been tough ones for highly sensitive people, healers, empaths, and witches. If you are feeling like this, try some of the grounding methods listed below. It was with the help of my friends that this list is so lengthy. Everyone has ways to return to a place of spiritual wellness and peace of mind. I hope some of the suggestions here can help you.
*Smudging with white Sage
*Cleansing with Florida Water
*Going for a run, hike, or walk in the woods.
*Standing barefoot in the grass or dirt.
*Carrying a hematite crystal.
*Getting a reiki or massage session.
*Epsom salt bath. Add cedar wood and lavender essential oils.
*Having a warm and comforting meal.
*Building a nest on your bed with blankets and pillows and then curling up in it with a good book to read.
*Visualizing a white light growing from your spine and rooting deeper and deeper into the earth.
*Standing in the breeze and feeling the wind blow away negative energy and moods.
*Dancing, playing music, creating art.
*Snuggling with someone you love.
*Pausing to think about what you are thankful for.
*Washing your hands and visualizing all negativity washing away.
*Having a beer, wine, or cup of tea.
