i cant remember the name of the group that programmed us but i have a deep need to know the groups name, almost like i need it to survive. is this normal? how do i make it stop?

Not all groups have names. They can be family groups, groups that follow a belief system, or an organised group of abusers.

Some groups are named by the public, or the media. Other groups name themselves and don’t often use their name.

Ask yourself the reason you need to know the group's name? How will it help you to know the name?

I think it’s normal to want to know. If it’s preventing you from focusing on things and disrupting your life thinking about it then it can be cause for concern.

I encourage you to work towards understanding the ‘why’ behind your desire to know. Getting to the root could help.
