Group mind
Last week I saw a video on youtube about possible future political systems: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZMqvjrp5ec
At some part I got a flasback from the Ghost in the shell movie, about this scene:
The anime got such scene too, but neither medium tells nearly anything about it... What are we seeing, wo are they, what are they doing, why... It seems a spiritual ritual, where monks emerge with some transcendal entity? In the movie they even zip a dead body into a bag of a monk, which seems to be a cause of an absurd self-sacrifice thing.
Neverthless, I did not wanted to go so off, but just wanted to pick a concept of people being part of a bigger “entity”. Because, what I thought about those scenes, is that these people offer their mind/mental capacity to a super-human entity. Which maybe calculates the meaning of life, which seems worth such sacrifice for them.
It is an absurd manifestation of the concept, when people emerge to be “one”. As I see politics is a lot about such. Politicans we elect do important things for us, as an individual representing us. As a country a lot of the times we are represented against other countries as our leaders. In a democracy these leaders are selected based on the country’s people’s need. People vote/demonstrate on important manners, and a good leader follows those and acts according the wish of the people.
Another, I think related, concept is in psychology, where the self is separated into smaller “entities”, which all fulfill a needful feature, excert mental force to be “represented” in the final acts of the person.
It’s a deep jump, I know, I got some grasp about this after a lot of Jungian influence, through reading and watching related videos/articles/book. I think the metaphore of the brain as a living city with old and new districts makes the best introduction to it: https://www.livescience.com/5674-brain-organized-city.html
In short, this theory states, that humans/we have some old and consolidated “district” in our brain, which we share with our common ancestors, which fulfill th very basic life supporting functions. Later developed part of the brain serve higher functions, but live next to the old, which is still fulfilling tasks. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brain). This is anatomy, however tought’s and feelings, I think, can be separated on similar analogy. In the end you have several parts of you, which are generating toughts, which in the end are all required for you to well function. Of course it is a bit off, when you have contradicting feelings/actions. Psychologists say commonly, that you need to align your feelings with your mind to be in harmony. Again a kind of separation in the person, such as the well discussed shadow, or subconcious.
In the end you should be a good leader of your “parts”, be as organs, which feel pain, or mental thoughts, which don’t let you go. They signal/vote hear their voice to you, and you need to act in a way, which fulfills all of your part’s needs in the end.
This post is taking too long, so I just conclude and will continue to expand separately. A good political system is alike, to our body/mind, receives signals from all the parts/people and acts in the common good. Then the group of people (country/city) can thrive, othervise parts of it will disfunction, which brings the whole down. The scif-fi in it, which I plan to unfold later, is that these political systems, just as mentioned in the linked video, do not need to be person based. However today’s political system is not a single person based, but it is rather an insitute in which people work together.

2+ ( Group Scenes/ Supporting Game/ Walk On’s )
In this group scene two players will step out into the scene after being given a suggestion, during the scene one at a time every other player will enter to support and add on to whatever is going on. When we turn a 2-person scene into a 3 or more person scene, the dynamic of what is happening should not be changed it should be solidified. Walk on’s should add to what is happening, so don’t redirect focus. If the scene is about funky socks, a walk on should support funky socks, not redirect it. In these scenes the first player to walk on should not feel the need to rush, we want to wait until we know what the game or dynamic of the scene is first. With two people on stage we will either have 1 perspective, similar to peas in a pod or 2 perspectives similar to when we have one player being the voice of reason and the other being the more unusual. If the scene has one perspective, such as “We love funky socks” any walk on should support and heighten that idea. If the scene has 2 perspectives such as “Player 1 loves funky socks” & “Player 2 hates funky socks” a walk on should support either one side or the other rather than creating a 3rd perspective. Yes a 3rd ,4th,5th, perspective can work and can even be a game in itself, but this can tend to overload the scene where as soon as we have too many points of view we need to do more work and appease more desires which can easily confuse or put too much weight on the scene. Simple is still funny, so try to overload your scenes.
Draw A Picture 1 Line At A Time (Following, Group Mind)
Players will take a single pen and single piece of paper and draw a picture together only adding one line at a time. The line can be whatever (Straight, curved, circular, etc.) and the picture can be added to for as long as the leader of the exercise determines.
Big Booty-
An exercise that focuses on rhythm, group mind, listening, and failing gracefully
Players get into a circle. One person will be Big Booty and every other player to the right of Big Booty will be #1,2,3,4,5,6,7 etc. Big Booty will begin to sign “Aw big booty, “ which the entire group will then join in “big booty big booty big booty aw yeah” and then Big Booty will call out “Big Booty # ___” If Big Booty called “Big Booty #2” number 2 will then call their own number and the number of someone else in the circle to pass it to them. So a game of Big Booty might go:
Big Booty: “Aw big booty”
Everyone: “Big booty big booty big booty aw yeah”
Big Booty: “Big booty #2
Number 2: “ Number 2 number 4”
Number 4: “Number 4 number 1”
Number 1: “Number 1 number 3”
And so on, you can also pass it back to Big Booty by saying your number and then Big Booty” for example
“Number 3 number 1” “Number 1 Big Booty” “Big Booty number 2”
If someone “messes up” and forgets their number the group will in unison say “Oh shit” and the person who “messed up” will stand to the right of Big Booty and that person is now number 1 and everyone else in the circle will change their number accordingly. So, if #3 messed up and became #1, whoever was #1 will now be 2, 2 will be 3, and 4 and so on would be the same since they are still that number within the circle
Rhythm is important in this and we should keep a 4/4 rhythm going .
