sorry for making y'all see that. anyway any attempt to force accessibility/description to be "objective" will kill you in slow motion by making you pretend you, as the interpreter, don't exist. you do exist and you are the person doing the interpretation and any interpretation you create comes out of You and doesn't somehow access the ontological truth of an image/text which is floating in some sort of ethereal Truth Plane that you need to step into and encompass and delicately carry back with you into this plane of human communication and misunderstanding. interpretation is always you, interacting with the text/image, in the particular context (which also matters) of your interaction with it... so. might as well have fun with it.

sometimes i go to look for fic and i find an author's note that describes a particular canon as "queerbaity" (it wasn't) and i simply close the tab and then immediately reopen it because i recognize the op as someone who regularly goes on screeds about how you need to comment to feed your authors. try having better opinions and maybe people will comment on. your fic instead of closing the tab.

i actually really struggle to visualize based on descriptions (which is a professional problem for me in archaeological settings!) like i don't care if you describe buildings oh my god. i simply would like the made up world you're asking me to explore to be interesting. like i would like it to taste good. PLAY WITH ME IN THE SPACE. GODDAMN
