My love for shasta daisies begn to kindle during my yearly visits to my hometown. And it has been my ever favourite since my Mum told how easily it grows and spreads at mild temperature which London summers definitely offers. As a child till the age of 7, love for flowers for me were all about plucking them from my grandma’s rose garden and saving their short lived beauty in a vase full of water instead of letting them bloom in their own space and home soil. Little did I know that I would get to learn so much from them as I start to grow them on my own. Watching even a small bud of shasta daisy bloom on my terrace gives me immense level of self sufficiency and brings so much satisfaction with every little achievement. That achievement of tending to their needs which are unspoken for and enjoying the produce is a great esteem booster. As a gardener the self motivation comes from working towards a good yield. Also gardening as an everyday activity ends up as a unique form of exercise for lazy bums like me and not to miss the free vitamin D. Organic gardening no doubt builds a way to healthy and sustainable environment but has also given me a lot of quality time with my family right from childhood till today. It truly opens my eyes everytime to such an awe-inspiring nature. Its now that I understand what Mom and Grandmom said ages ago- In growing flowers and your own produce lies valuable life skills and positive habits that one can build. . . . #thursdaythrowbacks #whereitallbegan #homelove #2yearsago🔙 #growingdaisies #winterflowers #ranchi #l4l #keepgrowing #likeforlikes #funwithflowers #learntogrow #instaflowers #follow #stayphenomenal https://www.instagram.com/p/B0VGid6HsbR/?igshid=28ezc1eyjf7c
