The waves stirred up by the winds of different teachings (1 Tim. 1:3-4), doctrines, concepts, and opinions are sent by Satan to entice the believers in order to carry them away from Christ and the church. It is difficult for the infants in Christ to discern these. The only way to escape from the waves that are stirred up by the winds is to grow in life, and the safe way to grow in life is to stay in the proper church life with Christ and the church as the safeguard. The genuine growth in life is to grow with the growth of God, that is, to grow with the increase of God, the addition of God. In Himself, God cannot and does not need to grow. He is eternal, perfect, and complete. However, there is the need for God to grow in us. We all need more of the increase, the addition, of God within us. We need to grow with the growth of God; that is, we need God to increase, to grow, in us. God is rich in every way. He is rich in glory and in all the divine attributes. He is rich in love, kindness, mercy, light, life, power, and strength. God's riches are endless. Now this rich God is adding Himself into us. God's riches are the element and substance by which we grow. God is real, rich, and substantial, and we need to absorb Him. Good Morning. I had a lovely time on my plot at the weekend. Digging out weeds, cleaning out my chickens, and I came home with this little haul! It’s been hard work getting the plot to where it is today. But you know what... To grow is hard work. You could say that life is hard work. For most of us there are struggles. For some it is an overwhelming struggle each and every day. But the past few years I’ve learnt to take it one step at a time. Growing in life (or on the plot) doesn’t happen over night.
