A few months ago I knew I needed to make some choices & changes or I was going to continue down the path of poor health & self-pity. It began with my thoughts leading me down a dark road. Now, I'm working daily to rid my "stinking thinking". Guys. It's all within you. You CAN feel your best. YOU are stopping you. I know this may sound harsh, but it's true. Our thoughts make up who we are & impacts our bodies over time. It takes ACTION to change. Change is not easy but change is possible. I recently read an article by #GrowthU on how negative type of thoughts– or "stinking thinking"– can have an effect on a person's financial future & can actually hold one back. The article defines it as when your thoughts are creating unfavorable attraction chemistry around your finances. I've taken the same concept & applied it to ones health: - Limiting beliefs: If I had a lot of money I could afford the choices & food. - Strategy: I've tried different things & nothing works. - Comparing: He makes it look so easy. - Excuses: I don't have time. It's too hard. I'll start next week. - Wishes: I wish I could lose a few pounds. I wish my cholesterol would be lower. I wish I had more energy. How to begin making changes? To start with, replace ONE negative self talk today with just one positive statement or thought. TODAY, pay attention to what you're saying to yourself. Write down what you've discovered. Then replace it with something like: - I am worthy & capable of anything I want including good health. - I do have the resources & tools to go out & get what I need. - I can change old habits and thoughts. - I will & can attract those to help me reach my goals. - I can do this one step at a time.
