 Captain Francis Crozier is far from the sea. When financial troubles push back the long awaited Franklin Expedition, the officers aboard the Terror move to the countryside while awaiting news. While there, Crozier is introduced to the newest officer of the expedition; a pompous, stubborn bastard named James Fitzjames. If Fitzjames is chosen for the expedition, Crozier might fight him before he must serve with him.

Fathoms & Foundlings ch. 15

Oh damn it’s been a long time but I finally got some of my creative wind back with fanfic! I took a long hiatus while I finished up my thesis, which snowballed into finishing up the degree and applying for grad school. But all through that time I received wonderful support and comments that always brought my mind back to writing this. Writing this fic again has given me some joy while holed up inside and I hope you all enjoy!

I’ve been in kind of a rough place the past few weeks. Life is stressful and things happen. But that anon comment really brought me back into how wonderful the Turn fandom has always been, and how I’ve been receiving lovely comments here and on my ao3 fics after all this time.

So as a thank-you, here is a sneak preview into chapter 15 of Fathoms & Foundlings, that’s been sitting in a document for pretty much a year. (I know, it’s shameful) I hope you enjoy it, and I hope to update really soon. Thank you so much for being so wonderful.
