They’d had a date planned. He’d made dinner.
Magnus had taken the time to hand make the food without any magic and Alec hadn’t showed up. He put the food away by magic, because he could do that and then he downed half a bottle of wine. Maybe that was irrational, but he didn’t care. Alec had NEVER stood him up before. He hadn’t texted him, so he didn’t think to contact him either. Clearly Alec was upset with him or…or something. He gulped down another glass of the drink at the thought and then sat it aside. Drinking and feelings were never a good mix for Magnus, but he couldn’t help it. Things had been going so good for them, so why this? Why now?
He stared at Alec as he told him that he had fallen asleep. Now he understood the apology in it’s sincere-ness. He really hadn’t meant to miss their date.
“And here I thought you ditched me.” He shook his head. How could he have been so foolish?
Magnus let out a breath and said, “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have jumped to conclusions.” Though now it was far too late to make up that date and he was a little bit drunk on top of it.
“Rain check?”
