Legendaires Nation, how are we feeling in 2026? Are we still there?

So for non-french speakers, let me introduce you to Gryf (or Gryfenfer), one of the protagonists of one of my favourite chilhood comic Les Légendaires. Recently they got a movie adaptation, and obviously I went. Hated some stuff, loved some other stuff, pretty good movie overall. Then I got home and I re-read the whole comic and the (numerous) spin-offs in less than a week. And after that I still couldn't rest until I paid hommage to my favorite character (litteraly, I was seeing his fur in gouache when I closed my eyes). So hey, here's Gryfenfer! I chose the design he had during my favorite arc (le Cycle d'Anathos, on se sait les connaisseurs) because it was peak.

And as a reward for reading all that you get my ugly sketches to test the colors and my palette!

gryf was told his entire life he was nothing more than a weapon and then he meets this girl who was literally MADE to be a weapon ,

Like , he was the only one who actively gave her a chance even after her betrayal . he sees himself in her and knows how hard it is to step up from someone who hurt you . If someone who was barely born was considered unredeemable then what did it mean from a murder machine like him <- kinda mental

They should be trauma buddies not a part of a love triangle that ruins his , hers and shimy character
