Something stirs at the base of your shoulder blades and you feel the sting of pain as they burst forth. Stretching them over your head, you anxiously inspect your brand new appendages.
Your wings are an innocuous amalgamation of brown and gray. Shades that fall to the wayside. Your mind recognizing these colors as belonging from some sort of prey animal. Figures. You are disappointed, but only for a second. You won’t let it get to you. You’ll do what you’ve always done and use this to your favor. Alike a hidden dagger, relative anonymity has its perks. Besides, the nail that sticks out the most gets hammered down.
Chin up, Reaper, your wings are that of a 𝚀𝚞𝚊𝚒𝚕.
Character Parallels: Shauna Sadecki (Yellowjackets), Faramir of Gonder (Lord Of The Rings), Ritsu Kageyama (Mob Psycho 100)
𝚀𝚞𝚊𝚒𝚕 has never had the luxury of a easy life. Not in the After and certainly not in the Before. Everyone underestimates them because of it. They're used to being pitied—but instead of losing spirit, they'll use it to their advantage. Like they always have. The universe was not created fairly, not everyone is blessed with the same opportunities. Those not born with luck or talent have to make do. So who can blame them for taking advantage of all the tools at their disposal? And it's not like they don't feel bad about it! Things have gotten way more out of hand than they expected. With 𝙵𝚒𝚗𝚌𝚑 and 𝙻𝚘𝚘𝚗. But how was 𝚀𝚞𝚊𝚒𝚕 supposed to know things would turn out like this? They only wanted to look a look a little better in comparison. They didn't mean to hurt anybody or to ruin 𝙻𝚘𝚘𝚗's career... but to speak up now, that'd be the end to their new afterlife.
