As The Crow Flies
On a spring morning, the village is silent, the animals sleeping, and all of the gryphs sleeping. All but one gryph, and one Crow. The gryph is Kit Sunbeam, and the crow, well, a stranger to the village. When the two meet up, the crow drops a note informing Kit of a serious threat to the village, the nearby lifewell has been capped and needs to be re-opened or no one will wake up.
Seeing no choice but to follow the warning with it being mid day with no one awake, Kit made her way through the forest, through the plains, through a pesky Wolture, and to the badlands. There she made her way through a maze of cliffs and crags, rushing water, and carefully but quickly through a briar, before scaling a scree slope into a cave system.
She quickly located the well which was being secured by a pair of Gnolls. She defeated the first quickly by surprise, and in a tough fight managed to defeat the second despite it seeming to grow stronger as the fight progressed. She managed to uncap the lifewell, waking the village, but Aoi, the one that sent the crow warns that not all is well in the world.
