A laptop with two screens!
http://www.akkuschnell.de/akku-blog/review-gscreens-dual-screen-spacebook-laptop-landing-this-november/ This positively alien-looking, dual 17″ HD LED screens in one, 10-pound gScreen SpaceBook laptop is no Photoshop joke, and is geared for the Photoshopping/video/spreadsheet editing-types.
Coffee Talk: gScreen's DUAL Monitored laptop
Hello internet,
Today's story is " gScreen's dual Monitored laptop "
Yes Internet, that's right, DUAL screen ! Founder and Chief Designer, Gordon Alan Stewart started gScreen in 2003. The Laptop is called the Spacebook and it's main purpose was a solution for filmmakers,photographers,video/graphics designers, and CAD engineers to have the portability of working in a needed two screen computer environment. The 17" Spacebook will be hitting USA & Canada very shortly. It comes in a i5 processor or a i7 processor.
The i5 specs are:
Dual 17" 1920 x 1080 HD LED Back-Lit display
Intel i5- 560m 2.66 ghz Processor
4GB DDR3 /1333MHZ
Nvidia Geforce GTS 250M 1GB Discrete GPU
500GB 7200rpm Hard-drive
Super-Multi Drive - DVD+/-rw + DVD-RAM
Magnesium Alloy Lid-Frame
Width- 16 1/2
Depth 12 5/8
Thick - 1.7/8
Weight-10 Pounds !
The i7 specs:
Dual 17" 1920 x 1080 HD LED Back-Lit display
Intel i7- QUAD-740qm 1.73ghz Processor
8GB DDR3 /1333MHZ
Nvidia Geforce GTS 250M 1GB Discrete GPU
500GB 7200rpm Hard-drive
Super-Multi Drive - DVD+/-rw + DVD-RAM
Magnesium Alloy Lid-Frame
Width- 16 1/2
Depth 12 5/8
Thick - 1.7/8
Weight-10 Pounds !
You can reserve one today with a 50% down payment. These puppies are priced at a whopping $2395 for the i5 and $2795 for the i7. I can't wait if they start making more of these at a cheaper price. I mean can you imagine gaming on these things,Multi-task hacking,or just for IT ninjas and Pen-testers ? The possibilities are endless really.Either way this machine look's out standing ! The one downfall of this product is the weight and the thickness of the laptop. I respect that it is the first of it's kind but thinning it out would make it so much more buy-able for consumers. I mean I'm not going to carry a 10 pound brick around everywhere I go.Still I respect the idea and more power to ya Gordon Alan Stewart. The big question would be to my readers is " How do you think he closes the laptop ?" Reblog with you answer or email me at [email protected] would love to know what you guys think! You can check out the video below to see the laptop in action. Also there is some links @ the bottom to show you how to follow them.
