Ooooohhh this is pretty cool!

1. When I finally get to uni late next year, I either want to study criminal justice or nursing. Polar opposites but two jobs I feel I'd be passionate about!

2. When I was little, I always wanted to be a Wiggle. Not JOIN the Wiggles, I wanted to BE one of them. Uhm, a weird one I know. If I recall rightly my mum tried to tell me I couldn't be Greg the Wiggle, and I got super upset. Good times.

(... Is the Wiggles an Australian kids show? Idk. Google it)

3. I wore glasses when I was at school nearly daily. Now I only wear them when I'm writing and when I'm at work as I find my headaches increase in frequency if I overdo it. My glasses are too big for my face and they take up most of it oop.

You’re doing good

It’s OK to be confused and heartbroken. It’s OK to feel stuck. But...

You’re doing good. You’re doing everything you should be doing. You have come so far even though it may not seem like it. You are enough. You are worthy. You are capable of weathering hard times, and you deserve to be proud of how far you’ve come.

You have just as much right to be here as anyone else. You have survived 100% of bad days so far. Try to stay grateful and appreciative of small things. It’s ok not to know what comes next. You’re not wrong for having your feelings, they’re yours and they matter. You don’t have to feel bad for not feeling happy all the time. You’re not wasting your life.

Remember everyone has disturbing thoughts. The reason they’re intrusive is that they’re the last thing you’d ever want to catch yourself thinking. It’s normal and you don’t have to hate yourself or even try not to have those thoughts.

It’s normal to doubt yourself but you are much more capable than you realize. It’s ok for life to be messy and hard and confusing. Things don’t have to be perfect and you don’t have to change your feelings. What you do control is which thoughts to pay attention to. Keep trying to think positively when you can. The best you can is good enough.

You deserve recovery. You WILL find a path that works for you. Your mistakes don’t define you. Everyone makes mistakes. Big ones. People keep a lot under wraps and most people will never know or care about your failings. You deserve to heal. The truth is out there. You’re doing the hard work. You are supported. You will get where you’re going. Life will not always feel so bleak.
