1970 Pontiac GT-37
the poor man's GTO
Marketed as “The GTO for kids under 30,” the GT-37 was Pontiac’s late-1970 entry into the bottom tier of the performance market: a low-cost, budget-minded, entry-level muscle car.

The Pontiac GT-37 is an example of rare American muscle car. Marketed as a "poor-man's GTO", the sales add was: "There's a little GTO in every GT-37, and you don't have to be over 30 to afford it,"
Basically a stripped-down GTO, the GT-37 could be compared to other inexpensive "bare-bones" muscle cars like the Plymouth Road Runner, What made the GT-37 option so exciting was you could get most of the mechanics of a GTO for less money, with less weight and insurance rates of a Tempest or LeMans.
