There's something soothing about the original PS2 release of Grand Theft Auto III from October 2001. Just the type of look it has. Something no later release has replicated. Except mods on PC maybe. Wonderful version of the game. Not the usual photography here, just raw screenshots. (well, if you ignore the difficulty, controls and the fact i'm actually playing this on an emulator)

Tuff City: Warren Island
The first island in the TUFF City area. This is where Snow (the single bird mother) lives and works a full-time job to pay for her rent. There are two beaches where you can visit, Dover Beach (Right) next to the houses and Tuff Beach view (Top) next to Houz Radio Headquarters.
There's also a mansion next to the Worl Mall near the second bridge. The mansion is currently for sale, because the owners of the mansion moved out due to finding the island mediocre and not fit for their taste, so they transferred to Meadow Valley (the Third Island) and settled there.
The island also has some gangs that reside there like the Tuff Riders, a biker gang whose gang base is located somewhere near the first bridge heading to the second island (Solen Island). The Fish-Bone Triads, who reside in the Chinatown district and can be seen holding Cleavers around town. Lastly, the Buffalo Diablos, a gang that are seen in Doren District straight up the road to Tuff Beach view.
Personal Driver Part 1 (Claude X Male Reader)
Another day, another job Claude needed to do.
Inside Liberty City, he had been tasked with stealing a taxi, which was going to be used for a future heist. It was supposed to be an easy job, so easy that the criminal decided to grab some lunch before getting back to work.
Getting some fries, a burger, and a cola, he parked the taxi along a quiet road. With Head Radio playing through the speakers, he listened as he ate his lunch.
However, the back door suddenly opened. "Hey, sorry."
Claude looked into the rearview mirror to see a man in a suit getting into the back seat. Giving the stranger a puzzled look, he wondered why he had suddenly climbed into the car. The man carried a fancy briefcase with him.
"I don't mean to rush you, but I need a cab ASAP."
Right before Claude was about to threaten the suited man, the man held out some cash. "Consider it compensation for interrupting your lunch and for your time. The rest of your payment will be given to you once we reach my destination."
Claude paused for a moment, staring at what appeared to be a stressed businessman. He thought it over before accepting the money.
With a nod, he silently waited for the destination.
"FBC Bank Building." The man said.
Claude nodded, set his lunch aside, and began driving.
-
As Claude drove toward the bank, pop music played softly in the background. In the back seat, the businessman was constantly on the phone, seemingly talking to a dozen different people.
"Hello." Y/N tapped his right foot impatiently as he spoke into the phone. "I'm on my way ASAP." ... "Well, maybe you should've let me know a day in advance instead of at nine in the morning." ... "I don't care if you're snitching on my dad. You have no idea how much dirt I have on you." ... "Well, hope for the best and expect the worst. Good luck, Jerry."
Hanging up, Y/N let out a groan before immediately dialing the next person.
"Sorry about that.” He said. "I'm usually more reserved around strangers. But I'm going to be talking a lot. Hope that isn't an issue."
Claude simply shook his head.
Y/N set the phone beside him for a moment and looked at the cab driver through the rearview mirror. "Not much of a talker?"
Claude remained silent, prompting the businessman to chuckle. "I must be your worst customer."
Then another phone call came in. "Hi, this is Vincent Dawson from Planned Parenthood. Is this Janine Fergison?" He put on an overly cheerful voice. "Well, could you let her know we got her results? Have a nice day."
He hung up.
Claude couldn't help but wonder what exactly was going on with the man he was driving. Looking at him through the mirror, he gave the businessman a puzzled glance.
Y/N was already making another call when he caught Claude's expression. "Yeah... my boyfriend was cheating on me, so I wanted some revenge."
Claude simply looked back at the road as Y/N placed yet another call.
"Morning, Father." ... "Yeah, I know I'm going to be late, but you can blame Jerry for that." ... "Anyway, I need someone to beat Vincent up."
-
On a bridge, traffic had come to a complete standstill. Claude, not wanting to make a scene, simply waited until he could drive forward. In the meantime, he finished the rest of his lunch.
Meanwhile, the phone calls continued.
"No, no, no! I said teal! Teal! Not cyan!" Y/N let out a huff. "Well, I kicked him out of the house, so he doesn't get to decide what the fuck my wallpaper should be." ... "Which I didn't sign, so he can pay the bill." ... "Good. Goodbye."
Y/N hung up, about to make another phone call. However, this time he was the one receiving one.
With a frown, he answered.
"What is it, Jerry?" His expression quickly turned furious. "YOU RAT! It wasn't your place to start it!"
Claude merely tapped the steering wheel as the businessman vented.
"Next time, let me know in advance! Thanks for nothing!" He hung up and dropped his phone onto the seat beside him.
Hunching forward, Y/N rubbed his tired face. Claude turned around to look at him. The exhausted businessman glanced up at the supposed cab driver.
"Sorry you had to deal with such a mess of a customer."
Claude simply gave the man a reassuring pat on the shoulder, silently telling him it was alright. Y/N sat back in his seat, staring out the window in thought.
As Claude returned his attention to the road, the businessman continued thinking before picking up his phone for one last call.
It didn't take long before he spoke. "Hey, I want to throw a bachelor party, and I need all the strippers you have."
Claude couldn't help but smirk, appreciating the man's pettiness.
"The location is Skyscraper, 11th floor, room number eight. The key is hidden inside the lamp to the right of the door." ... "Please send them at nine p.m. this Thursday." ... "My name is Jerry Vogelsson, sir." ... "Have a nice day."
After ending the call, Y/N let out a long sigh. "Well... let's hope his wife files for divorce."
Claude actually let out a quiet chuckle. It was the first time Y/N had seen him smile, even if only for a brief moment.
Looking down at his phone and checking the time, Y/N realized he no longer needed to go to work for the rest of the day. Unfortunately, he was already stuck in traffic on the way to Staunton Island.
"How long do you think it'll be before we reach Staunton Island?" Claude simply shrugged.
Y/N looked at him curiously. "Can you even talk?"
Claude gave a firm shake of his head. The businessman smiled. "You're an odd one. What's your name?"
Claude paused, wondering if he should tell him.
Deciding it couldn't hurt, he pulled a small notebook and pen from his pocket. He wrote down his name before holding it up for the other man to read.
"Claude? Fancy name for a cab driver."
Claude remained silent at the remark.
He wondered if he could really pass as a cab driver when most people thought he looked like a psychopath.
"Look, I'm in a bad mood, and I'm not in the mood to see everyone. It's really annoying talking about feelings and shit." Y/N leaned back in his seat. "Any chance you'd want to grab a drink with me?"
Claude simply looked back at him. "I know, you've got a job. Let me cover your costs. I'm rich anyway."
Seeing an opportunity for easy money, Claude didn't hesitate. He simply nodded.
-
Arriving on the island, it had taken far too long to get through the traffic jam and into the big city. As dusk settled in, Claude parked his taxi in a parking lot before following the businessman.
They found themselves in one of the city's livelier districts, filled with clubs and entertainment. As Claude pointed toward different bars they could visit, Y/N shook his head each time, saying none of them felt right.
Then the businessman spotted a place. "Wanna go to a strip club?"
Claude looked at the building. He had never been to a male strip club before. Chances were, if you went into a place like this and the wrong people found out, you'd get beaten up. Luckily, Claude wasn't one of those people. Still, he wondered whether he should go inside.
"Look, I get it if you're uncomfortable, but I'm single and I want to look at hot dudes." Y/N glanced at him with a small smile. "You in?"
Claude simply shrugged, not really caring.
Y/N smiled. "Let's go."
Stepping inside, the duo was immediately greeted by the sight of half-naked men throughout the club. Some danced around the stripper poles, others served drinks, while a few gave lap dances to customers.
Claude didn't seem particularly impressed. Instead, he looked over at Y/N, who suddenly seemed a little nervous.
It took a moment before Y/N noticed the taxi driver staring at him. "What?" Claude continued looking at him. "I'm fine."
His eyes wandered around the room until they landed on the bar. "...Let's just get some drinks."
The businessman headed toward it first, with Claude following close behind.
-
At the front stage, Claude sipped on a cocktail, paid for by the now-drunk businessman. Having had too many cocktails, Y/N had become giddy, a sharp contrast to Claude's stone-cold expression. A stripper dressed as a police officer danced on the stage in front of them.
"You're the weirdest straight guy I've ever met.” Y/N chuckled drunkenly as Claude glanced at him from the corner of his eye. "I must be your weirdest customer, huh? Please tell me you've had weirder people in your taxi."
If Claude could talk, he would admit that Y/N was his first—and probably only—customer. Instead, he decided to lie and held up three fingers, making the rich man smile.
"Thank God..."
Y/N took another messy sip of his cocktail before wiping his mouth. Soon, his smile faded. "God... I'm pathetic... My boyfriend's a scumbag... I only got this far because of nepotism... aaand Jerry's a bitch who's jealous that my rich daddy gives me everything I want..."
Claude sat awkwardly as the other man shifted from being giddy drunk to depressed drunk. "Do I suck...?"
Claude shook his head. "Did I do something wrong?"
Again, he shook his head. "Then why is this happening...?"
Feeling bad for Y/N, Claude pulled out his notebook and wrote something down. Once finished, he handed it to the businessman.
‘If you need help with your problems, I can fix them.’
Y/N stared blankly at the paper. "I'm too fucking drunk to read this..."
He shoved the note back into Claude's hands. The murderer looked at him stoically, seeing just how miserable the man had become.
So, he decided to do something about it. He was going to take him home. Claude slipped Y/N's arm over his shoulder and stood up, helping the drunken businessman to his feet.
"W-Where are we going...?"
The two walked out of the strip club and returned to the parking lot where the taxi was parked.
After settling the drunken man into the back seat, Claude climbed into the driver's seat. However, there was one problem. He had no idea where Y/N lived.
Even though he knew the businessman was in no condition to read, Claude wrote down a simple question asking for his address. As he handed over the notebook, however, he saw Y/N softly snoring, his head resting against the window.
Claude sighed. He wondered what kind of mess he'd gotten himself into. Normally, he would've just dumped someone like that on the sidewalk and driven away.
But for whatever reason, he wanted to make sure Y/N got somewhere safe. So he came up with a plan. He would ditch the taxi, steal another car, move Y/N into it, and drive him back to his apartment.
If he couldn't take the rich man home... He'd take him to his own place instead.
-
Once they arrived at his bare apartment, Claude carried the sleepy man over to the mattress in the other room. Setting him down, the businessman slumped onto it.
Claude knelt down and began removing the man's fancy shoes. Once only his socks remained, he gently lifted Y/N's legs onto the mattress. Seeing him settled in, Claude decided it was time for bed.
He stripped down until he was wearing only his boxers. Letting out a slight yawn, he lay down on his own mattress. Resting his arms behind his head, he closed his eyes and tried to fall asleep.
However, he suddenly felt someone holding onto him. Opening one eye, he saw Y/N snuggled up against him, still fast asleep. The businessman softly murmured in his sleep.
Claude would've found it annoying... If it weren't for the fact that he'd gotten paid for all of this. With that thought, he simply closed his eyes again.
-
The next morning, Claude is the first one to wake up. Thus, he grabs some bread and ingredients to make himself a sandwich. While in his boxers, he stands by the washing machine, preparing his breakfast. However, then he hears some groaning behind him.
Turning his head, he sees Y/N slowly waking up, holding his hands against his stomach. Knowing what is about to happen, Claude grabs a bucket from the corner and places it next to the other man, who quickly grabs it and pukes into it.
After a while, Y/N groans for a few seconds before slowly opening his eyes. He notices a pair of bare legs and looks up, seeing Claude's cold face.
"Oh, it's you... did we hook up?"
Claude shakes his head. Y/N stares at him for a moment. "You sure? You're just my type."
Claude, again, shakes his head and walks toward a stack of bottled water next to his stove. He grabs one bottle and walks back to Y/N, who slowly sits up. He offers the water bottle, which the businessman takes. Right as he drinks from it, the criminal walks back to his breakfast.
The man with a hangover then notices the bare room.
It's way too minimalistic. To his right is a sunny poster, the only colorful thing in the room. Then there are a couple of boxes, the bed he's on, the washing machine, and a stove. That is it.
"You live here...?" Y/N gurgles a bit. "Holy shit... you're poor. Sorry."
Claude isn't bothered by the observation as Y/N rubs his head. Then, he puts the bottle next to him before lying back down and closing his eyes.
"You mind if I rest for a bit? I feel like shit."
Claude remains silent, simply finishing his breakfast and eating it.
-
A bit later, Claude came home after doing a quick job. Once home, he saw Y/N holding a small mirror Claude had stashed away somewhere, fixing his messy hair and face. The man looked aside, noticing the man he had thought was a taxi driver.
"Oh, hey." Y/N was quick to stand up, though he was a bit wobbly. "Sorry, but I really need to use the restroom. Where is it?"
Claude merely looked at the bucket in the room.
Y/N followed his gaze and looked disgusted. "I just puked in there! Now I need to piss in there?"
Claude remained silent, simply staring at Y/N, who looked frustrated. Then he came up with a solution. He grabbed another bucket from the corner and handed it over.
"How the hell don't you have a bathroom...? And how don't you smell like shit?" Y/N hesitated before accepting the bucket, turning around and walking to the corner. "You better not look."
Claude simply turned around, waiting until the man had finished his business. As he waited, Y/N suddenly spoke. "I'm surprised none of my money was stolen. You had the opportunity and didn't do it. So... thank you."
Claude merely gave a thumbs-up, wondering if Y/N was even looking. "And I'm sorry about my behavior yesterday. I'm usually more reserved and proper."
Y/N finished up, buckling his pants before realizing something. "Uhh... what do I do with the bucket?"
He turned around, as did Claude, who pointed to himself before gesturing that he would throw it away. Y/N looked surprised. "You're weird. Nice, but weird."
Y/N then grabbed his briefcase and walked toward the apartment's exit, with Claude opening the door for him.
Right before he left, the businessman turned around. "Again, thanks."
Y/N opened his wallet, pulled out $1,000, and handed it over to the man, who was surprised by the generosity. He definitely earned more than that from other jobs, but it was free money nonetheless.
"Please invest in a nicer place. Not to sound rude, but while I do respect minimalism, every apartment needs a bathroom."
Claude shrugged, not really bothered. He knew where to go if he needed those facilities. Noticing the shrug, Y/N cocked an eyebrow. "You really are a weirdo. But again... thanks."
Right as Y/N turned around, Claude patted his shoulder. He grabbed his notepad and wrote something down. As Y/N waited, Claude tore off the page and handed it over to the rich man, who read it.
‘If you need any of my services, call me.’
Underneath the message was Claude's phone number.
Y/N smiled, while Claude hoped he could get more job offers from a potential new client. The businessman, however, interpreted it differently. "I work Monday through Friday, starting at nine. Want to be my full-time driver?"
Right before Claude was about to correct him, he paused to think. Y/N was already generous with his money. He could earn even more.
So he merely shrugged. "Happy to hear." Y/N smiled. "I'll send you all the details later."
Claude gave a thumbs-up, and the businessman offered him a hand, which the criminal accepted. "It's a deal. Guess I'll see you next Monday."
Y/N gave a nod before turning to leave.
"Have a good day." Just as Y/N was about to walk away, he stopped and looked back at Claude. "Any chance you can bring me home?"
Claude pulled his car keys from his pocket and jingled them, making the other man smile.
As Claude stepped outside and locked his apartment door, the two headed downstairs together for another drive.
