PremierePro & Cuda on MacOS 10.8.2 on a MacPro

I can confirm with the updated drivers for the nvidia card (GT120+GTX480) that PProCS6 works perfectly smooth even with a lot of MagicBulletLook use (h246 and ProRes clips / 1080p25)  here are some links you might want to check: QUADRO & GEFORCE MAC OS X DRIVER RELEASE for 10.8.2 http://www.nvidia.com/object/macosx-304.00.05f02-driver.html WITH 10.8.2 U MIGHT NOT NEED THAT GFORCE DRIVER BCUZ OSX NOW HAS A VERSION OF THAT ONE ALLREADY BULIT IN .... SO TRY WORKING WITH UR CARD WITHOUT INSTALLING THAT ONE 1ST.!

A NOTE TO ALL SMOKERS

This is a Gigabyte GTX480 which I recently pulled from a system to clean. After blasting the card with compressed air I noticed it was lacking when it came to temperatures, and this is why.

The cigarette tar which has accumulated over time has bonded to the heatsink and fan causing major clog up. Bare in mind this is after I had blasted the card with compressed air, before that, it must have been bad.

If you do smoke, I hope you can find it in yourself to consider the dangers to both you and your family, a graphics card can be easily cleaned, but for us mortals the effects can be unthinkable.
