every time i think about the concept of rose and percy i think it’s very funny if teddy absolutely hates percy. probably originally his idea to even go into the shop (probably looking for books on love and sex magick because … well, teddy). but percy would immediately be able to sense blood in the water with rose and even though he’s perfectly sweet and polite and only a little bit flirty all of teddy’s Protect Alarm Bells go off and teddy is purposely cock-blocking every step of the way whilst rose remains utterly oblivious due to their blinkered thinking that they are Not Desirable. and also probably because the bookshop is in such an old building and certainly full of ghosts and they have chosen to instead stare at the carpet.
