can you explain guard dog/watch dog programming done by the military? specifically us army/navy
A guard dog and watchdog are two different things.
Guard Dog Programming-Notify the system and others of danger and defend or attack the identified danger to protect individuals. Watchdog Programming-Notify the system and others of potential danger.
The programming would be dependent on the task/job selected and the breed of dog. For example a Sentry Dog (gives warnings while working in the dark or alerting of attacks from behind) would have a different role than an internal Sentry Dog (a type of gate keeper).
