WHEN ONE THINKS OF SUMMER, beautiful images of pristine, sandy beaches accompanied with the crashing of crystal clear waves, all while basking beneath the blazing sun. such a picturesque life was something he once lived in, a place where worries were meant (ah, but no place exists without its own darkness, does it?) to be left outside the door, all with the occasional hand in helping when required. and yet, seeing so many things incorporated beyond the beach front, was a particular pleasure he looks forward to. ❝ Usually, I always had the insider’s scoop on festival goings. I never did anything special like making the big decisions. That was all the Mayor’s calls. So, it’s sort of interesting being one of the ‘tourists’ looking in from the outside, so to speak, ❞ he comments, eyes settled on the advertisement for a maze.

pixies flit to and fro, ushering those wishing to attempt the challenge, as another pair of them further off take note of tequila motioning for ayato. one leans toward the other, hand held to cover their mouth before a titter in response, as if their whispers were a secret meant to be kept from the world.

          to say this place had been interesting in her time so far was an understatement . it was as if she was plucked from her home and put in story book . a new place , full of unknown but incredibly fascinating individuals . ayaka was never the best at making friends , but she had made one that showed her the ropes of the technology of his world . this was progress , she thinks . 

            while she certainly wasn’t comfortable here yet , there was definitely ground being made . she felt like she understood modern clothing enough after cater’s long lecture about fashion , which is why she was out and about shopping . most of the time her head had been down , going through her mental list of things she needed . the moment she looked up though , her eyes caught sight of a familiar flash of pale blue . 

              there is moment where she just stands there , unable to believe her eyes . this was a trick ? right ? it had to be , but ... that was her brother . just as the other is about the turn the corner , her pace picks up - scared to lose him in the crowd between them . once caught up , she reaches out to gently tug on his sleeve . 

               “ brother ... ? is that really you ? ”
