Arriving to a city where there's a giant hole in the ground with no indication of how to get home would normally set anyone on edge. For Gaito, that much was true… to an extent. He wasn't about to risk himself for the sake of returning, though he’d be lying if he said he hadn't thought about it within the first five minutes.
He was sure this place had its benefits, too, and could certainly adapt. He didn’t really like it, but he couldn’t say it was the worst possible outcome. But even still, he peered over at others with a twinge of jealousy at how socially adept they were.
That girl, too, that he merely happened to be standing near, was clearly one of those blessed on that regard. That is, if one was to judge on appearances. (Perhaps not the smartest move from him of all people, since judging by appearances got him turned into a villain a good percentage of the time. But what did it matter?)
-- Well, his anxiety would get the best of him again. He could be sure of that. And he appeared confrontational, so, he ended up avoided at best. Maybe it’d be different here, but Gaito wasn't counting on it.
Besides... He wanted to see the friends he had,
“Aah, I can't believe it's my destiny to miss them this much…” It escaped his mouth with a sigh, but he couldn't deny that truly did feel that way.
Softer, murmured, “... I wonder if anyone else is stuck here, too.”
