The young lord looked up at the stranger, letting the wooden sword he’d been practicing with hang down by his side. He was perhaps a tad naive for a boy growing up in a land plagued by war, but he had always felt safe in his home. He practiced fighting of course, and he knew theoretically that the war was dangerous, but so far he had no real understanding of it.
“Who are you?” he asked curiously and then gestured to the box that contained the other wooden swords that were used for practice, mainly when he practiced though, the real soldiers used real swords. “Do you want to practice with me?”

“ Two things: One, never call an Elphornian guard a blue asparagus. Just some general advice. ”
There is absolutely NO reason for it.
“ Second thing, y’ happen to know where I can find a mechanic? Or a metalshop? ”

She was like a shadow, moving through the pathway quietly as could be. Her dark blue cloak shielded her from unwanted eyes, a raven hopping along in the branches. She did not fear its beady gaze, for it seemed the ravens watched over her these days. She did not know of the benevolent gaze that commanded them. As she reached the outskirts the forest began to thin some, her eyes readjusting to the gradual light. Beornings and wild Men made their homes here, but they were kind enough to her. Something in those glittering star filled eyes and gentle smile of hers brought a smile of their own forwards. But she had come across a stranger on the path, the elleth lowering her hood to smile softly at the taller. "Good morning." She said, slowly approaching him. "I did not expect to meet someone upon the path today." She was young and delicate, a percect image of an elven maiden. But there was something lurking deep within her, the grace of the Valar bright in her freckled face. @guardianschaffa

Ooh, thank you! Lucy Cohu looks great! Knowing me, I’ll probably want an older verse and she could come in really handy.
@granxaire
👀 See this is why I crowdsource. She’d be perfect for modern verse at least if not the whole lot.
@guardianschaffa || Couldn’t come up with a fitting song, so I’m just writing a starter
Shireen looked at the stranger. She had noticed how people avoided him. Some people stared, and some seemed downright scared. She recognized the looks, it was the way people looked at her when her father wasn’t around, like they were worried she was contagious. She offered an encouraging smile.
"Don’t worry about it, they look at me that way too,” she said, “Davos says they just don’t understand how something different can be beautiful.”
