               ‘ what is she doing here? ’     venom spat at the new president sitting at the table dead centre in the room. katniss’ grey eyes turning to the solider beside her, jackson. she had told katniss they were going for a walk, fresh air and all, and now the door was closed in a room with just the three of them. katniss’ attempt to talk coin’s life being merely a day ago .. she thought if she’d ever been in a room with coin again there would be more guards.

          wide eyes stared at the lieutenant beside her in betrayal for a few long moments. had she taken her to her death? was coin to quietly end the name of the mockingjay here, in this room, in some attempt to take back control of those who stilled placed the young girl on a pedestal?     ‘ what is this? ’     her gaze fixed on the greyed woman. her once leader, once friend, once family ... now murderer.

☀ What’s your rp pet peeve? 

Treating female characters like second rate characters. This needs to stop. Females are important, so please stop assuming they are here for the D. This ratio in which male characters get x3 more attention than female ones also needs to die. 

Stop acting like OCs don’t matter. They do. I understand judging sometimes because there’s no info about the character so it’s hard to know what to expect, or when they are related to a canon character and the mun tries to push this OC on your character without talking to you first; trust me I’ve been there and some people really don’t get it, so you end up blocking them. Still, give OCs a chance. They’re beautiful and the people behind them are creative. Due to shitty reactions, and by this I mean ignoring, I’m pretty much done bringing OCs here. I want to write, not beg for threads gdi. This last sentence also applies to little known canon characters; with one I wrote I had people messaging me all ‘oh wow your OC is great’ or even sent positivity messages for those kind of blogs labeling the character as an OC. Dude, it’s not an OC, it’s a canon character. 

Do not poke the bear that is a villain and expect nothing will happen in return. For the love of all that is sacred in rp, stop it. And don’t come crying the character is rude or mean to your poor snowflake of a character; if the villain character is certain way the muns won’t change who they are at their core to make an exception for you. It’s not how it works. If the relationship between characters evolves for that, then great. Otherwise, stop it. Also, if the mun of a villain tells you this or that plot isn’t going to happen, politely explain the reasons why, then drop it. This happened to me on Freya’s blog and jfc, I’ve avoided the blog since then because of this. 

And finally, do not forceship. Especially if you’re not mutuals. You should never do it, but in that case it is even worse. For character I used to write, I got sent NSFW memes from people I wasn’t mutuals with and only that kind of memes or shippy ones. For this same character, someone tried to forceship my character into marrying theirs through IC asks; again not mutuals, never talked to this mun either. Just because both characters were sassy, somehow this mun got into their head they were meant to be and also ignored everything IC I wrote. It got to the point my character threatened with burning the other one alive if they didn’t back of - I also blocked the blog.

☢ What fads/trends are you so over? 

Probably the one in which people act like popularity equals having a say on what people can or cannot do with their blogs. That and acting like rp is a high school contest. I’m sorry, I’m too old for this. Oh and those PSDs that are so dark in which you cannot really see what’s happening? The graphic designer in me is offended and insulted by them. I accept the resurgence of the pastel PSDs that were super popular back in LJ a decade or more ago, but the so dark you cannot see anything? Nope. Bye.

❥ Has someone ever ruined an FC or character for you?

Ha, yes. For about two years I couldn’t look at Charlize Theron at all. I got irrationally pissed off because she was ruined by an rper for me, but thankfully that’s over. Then Rachel McAdams was ruined in an rpg, stll cannot stop rolling my eyes when I see her face. And then certain fandom pushing for Imogen Poots to be cast as certain character, it got to the point I couldn’t see her face at all. I got instantly pissed off. It wasn’t until I watched A Long Way Down that I was finally able to see her in another light. There were others but these are my top three.

✖ How has Tumblr RP changed since you started? 

Gather around kids, it’s grandma’s turn to tell a story. Back in my day, themes could be simple no need for fancy things. You could do it but it wasn’t the norm. Certainly no boxed themes and aesthetics… What were those? Small text was almost unheard of, as well as formatting. And you used gifs! Gifs I’m telling you! Though you could do threads/replies without them and no one would bat an eyelash. People gave more importance to writing and characterisation than the way your blog looks/icons/format. 

♒ Thoughts on the fandom you’re currently rping in? 

When I joined it was very welcoming, open arms and all which surprised me tbh. I mean, playing the most hated character of the entire series I didn’t expect that. The infighting, the times it happens, proves this fandom is no better than others and it all goes to shit lbr. Then there’s the oh why won’t people play x, y or z character; when said characters are brought then they are ignored?! Like what, why are you asking for them if you do this. What’s the point of asking for them if you mistreat them when they’re here. And then of course we have the extra vilifying of characters because people, apparently, cannot think beyond what is presented to them through Katniss’ eyes. This goes hand in hand to misunderstanding characters, I’ve lost count of the number of times I get messages that are actually for Snow to interact with not Alma. She’s not going to slaughter your family to get you to do as she wants, she’s not going to force your character into prostitution, she’s not going to torture or kidnap your character either. ENOUGH. Anytime I get that in my inbox I hit the delete button as fast as I can.

❣ How salty are you feeling right now? 

Listen, I had surgery yesterday and I’m extremely salty. I can barely move my left arm/shoulder because of where my doctor performed surgery on my back to remove a goddamn mole. I can’t even try to lay down on my back, or sit back without at least a pillow and even with the pillow it is fucking painful. I’m gonna be this salty for the next 14 days until I have the stitches removed, so be ready guys the salt is here to stay.
