Guarding joy...
You, protect that joy Let them gnaw and nudge and threaten and all But you, never give it up Never give up your spring.
They come along with lies Asking that you lay your joy aside for a little while Saying "This is the way to adult" O, little one, just skip along
Do not listen to those lies You don't need to go, even if only for a little while, where your joy can't come along There's no life there
Ignore those voices Father's works will always require your joy Piety does not equal sadness Joyfully serve your Love
So, go on Hold on to that joy For without it, everything is harder Your heart, your worship, your life
