Hope on the Street Episode 2
It was really strange but also totally endearing to see our strict BTS dance leader so nervous and shy as he first steps out to do some popping on the streets of Osaka.
You can literally see the moment in the car afterwards when he switches it up a notch and really commits to making this a showcase worthy of the talents he has collected together to make the documentary.
In the first episode that talent is popping dancer Gucchon from Osaka, Japan. Gucchon is one half of the popping duo Co-thkoo (with Kei), a member of the Fab5Boogz crew and an instructor at the Studio Sunny Hood in Osaka.
There are loads of videos of him dancing on YT, dating back nearly 20 years but this duet with Ryuzy was recorded only last month. Just as Suga is sure that BTS will be sharing a stage into their old age, I really believe, as he suggested in the documentary, Guchoon will be on stage popping well into his seventies and eighties.
Really looking forward to episode 3 of Hope on the Street next week. Our sparkly eyed yet humble narrator is the perfect companion on this journey through the world of street dance.
