It's a thing someone stumbled across from the 90s Brady Bunch movie. Jan is talking about a fake boyfriend and Marsha reads her and asks for his name. She says George Glass and then Marsha says "I don't know a George Glass at our school" but she says it like it's spelled with the umlaut.

Oh... is that also where the "Sure Jan" thing came from, then?
