why the mayans were right
Poor mayas. These days everybody is laughing at their predictions for last month planet disaster.
But hey you laughers! Stop it now!
They might just have messed it up with the precise moment, but if you look outside your window and try to read between the lines of the news in your tv screen, you can see it: those little south american folks were totally right!
Can't believe it? Change your mind with our 3 reasons why the mayanas were right:
1) In our civilization, the past is more important than the future
There was a time where mankind was able to express itself for the best. Art, literature, science. The world was a constant race towards the next.
For how good our "digital" era might seems it is evident that we got stuck.
We are trapped in our past. We preserve our artistic expressions and the few living artists as endangered species.
We worship monument and great achievements of the past, venerating them as a symbol of what we could be.
But we are unable to be excellent.
2) People count less then institutions.
Seriously. Let's talk about democracy.
Yes, you can decide what kind of puppet is going to be moved in front of you in the following 4 or 5 years, but don't you ever have a feeling that what you are getting in turn is more and more a lack of freedom?
Once men could trade, earn and spend.
They were owner of their lives.
The earth was a place to explore and live adventures.
Now it is a corporation. A place where everyone has to be kind and play its role.
There's no room for open discussions or "power to the people".
People have to be safe and sound at their own place. To work and spend.
It is sad to here, isn't it.
But isn't it true?
we have reached the point of no return.
In only 50 or 60 years we have begun producing plastic and consuming any resource of the planet at a speed too fast for them to be generated again.
The sky is polluted, seas have been used as a ground to test atomic bombs, fruits are poisoned.
And soon men will fight themselves for a glass of fresh water.
And if this is not the end of an era, how do you call it?
And so december 21st is gone. And no, maybe we didn't have a revelation (at least not you! we have them everyday) or see any asteroid crashing against our planet.
But when thinking about the years to come, we cannot but be sure that if not on december 2012, the world wiil soon come to an end.
This world economic crisis in another clear sign.
Remember that every crisis has always been solved through wars.
And, judging what's happening these days, we suggest you buy a rifle and get ready.
