When asked what they liked most about HashiMada:

I'm fascinated by the way Hashirama and Madara's lives run together like the river they met beside, inextricably intertwined. It's a relationship both beautiful and tragic, carrying an intensity unmatched by any of their other bonds. They've shaped each others beliefs and goals. They're equals and rivals and friends and enemies and Hashirama still drives a blade through Madara's back.
