Once you have caught an obscene amount of Pokemon of the same type, you can begin your selection.
Transfer all but the top 3-4 Pokemon of the same type. These top Pokemon will be the ones you select and should all be within 50-76 CP of one another.
When selecting the pokemon to keep, consider:
CP Level HP Level Attack power Attack type Size (height/weight)
As you discover your training style and strategy, you will discover what order of importance matters to you.
Once you’ve picked the Pokemon you wish to evolve, nickname it, or mark it as favorite.
You will want to repeat this process with all the species before evolving any of them. It is best to sort by # for this activity.
Once you have transferred all the unwanted Pokemon and marked the ones you want for evolution, you can begin the evolving process.
If you have a lucky egg, use it now. It will give you 30 min double XP so it is best to use it for the “Evolving Blitz” strategy, which should always be performed near an ample amount of pokestops.
If you do not have a lucky egg, you can purchase one with in game coins, or simply evolve without one.
If you are using a lucky egg, be sure to take advantage of all the time with it. Catch Pokemon, battle gyms (only those you know you can win.)
