Details matter. At @builttosend we designed our own aerospace grade aluminium hardware, including what we believe is the world's best locking g-hook. We made our own tooling, we protected the design, we refined the products, and we did it all as well as we could. No compromises. On even our smallest alpine pack, the X0, there are 6 metal g-hooks, and 10 metal tri-glides. We are in the process of perfecting our second generation shoulder strap buckles, so the smallest pack will have a minimum of 18 custom hard anodized components on it. When you buy from the big manufacturers, on their most expensive models they will use a single, badly designed, mass produced, third-party metal in a prominent position to signal quality.
