Fakémon - Mooden, Boviron and Guillotaur
Mooden and Boviron especially are based on the Norse warrior maidens, the Valkyries - Wagner's 'Die Walküre' opera is based on them, and that's also where the 'fat viking lady opera singer' stereotype comes from. That's why they have the pigtails!
The line is also based on female warriors like Joan of Arc (known as the Maid of Orleans) who would crossdress in order to fight.
They're also based loosely on medieval weaponry and torture devices, such as the Brazen bull and the iron maiden.
Also, the double-bladed axe was a symbol used for goddesses in ancient Crete (Wikipedia 'Labrys').
Last but not least... the armor, especially on Mooden, is based on armadillos. The more you know!
