How MegaOp shippers haven't turned this guy into their son I'll never know.
Here he is! Optimus's little guy! Well... his rather nervous son.

80s synth ramping up in my brain as I get run over by disguised robot nostalgia so have all the transformers art I shat out June 2018 because it’s all I have left
had to go digging through my old rp blog for Cosmotune’s name (and technically other art). FORGETTING MY OWN OC’S!! FOR SHAME!
Ya boi is BACK and kicking off the new year with a redesign for an old friend to this blog.
Yeeeep almost three years since I started doing TFA designs and I felt like starting this year off by redesigning TFA Guiltaur to see how much my style has improved/make a more “logical” design for the story I have planned.
Hopefully I can flesh out a bit more of his new details and actually share his story with you guys soon!
Hey, sorry 2 bother but could you not describe a villain as sociopathic? “Evil sociopath” is kinda a rlly ableist trope
you’re right, i’ve been corrected. i had thought that psychopath was a defunct term and sociopath was not, but they’re both defunct, awful terms and i hadn’t realized. i’m going to need to do a lot more research.
the word choice was deliberate, though, because Overlord has the mech equivalent of ASPD. so does Guiltaur, his equal opposite. this is not characterizing Overlord as evil because of his ASPD. one of the themes of SNAP that i haven’t really been able to succinctly put into words is “circumstance and situation contribute to choices, but don’t excuse them.” you can be neurodivergent or mentally ill and still very much in the wrong for hurting other people, a lesson i have had to learn multiple times in painful ways. while Overlord is the only villain-of-the-week with ASPD, there’s quite a number of others with some form of neurodivergence or mental illness, each with circumstances and reasons behind their choices that do not make their actions correct. it isn’t demonizing them (i’m neurodivergent and mentally ill, for god’s sake), but i refuse to write a story that either A- treats people with mental issues as broken birds who are only victims and can do no harm and have no agency or desire to do things, or B- exclusively evil and unstable with no capacity for change because they’re only capable of doing harm. if anything, the most common factor for these characters in SNAP is a repeated emphasis of how they’re more vulnerable than others, more likely to be picked on and manipulated and victimized, and how lack of support or an abusive environment can drive them to hurt others.
Overlord and Guiltaur both lack empathy, both come into existence suddenly with an enormous amount of power available to them, and both are given opportunities as to how they will treat others. Overlord chooses to be cruel. Guiltaur struggles to figure out what “good” means when he doesn’t have the inherent empathy of feeling bad for other people.
it’s not a light subject, and i’m not going to treat it lightly. i am incredibly aware of how much horror/thriller media and “unstable villain” tropes are ableist and demeaning and downright wrong. giving Overlord and Guiltaur ASPD was a deliberate choice, and i specifically made it two characters so the only representation here wouldn’t be “haha evil murdery dude”. i don’t want to be closed off from critique. i’m trying to do research, looking more to people who actually have ASPD instead of neurotypical “professionals” who keep talking about ND people like we’re aliens or broken. this theme of choice in absence of feeling is very important to me and i’m trying to do it and ASPD justice
Hey, it’s the main gang of my AU, Reversal! This project has been on the backburner for a couple of years (Gil and Whirl were the only two I’d ever drawn until now), but now I’ve got all the time in the world to churn out content.
Up next: The humans!
