Guinea (not to be confused with Equatorial Guinea or Guinea-Bissau or Papua New Guinea or....) was French during the Scramble for Africa, and the official language is still French, but in fact it is a diverse population of 24 ethnic groups, with as many and more languages spoken. Some of the largest bauxite reserves in the world are found in Guinea, and it was also one of the nations affected by the recent Ebola outbreaks. [I’m really not sure what’s going on with the mega-rad Santa and Aladdin stamp, but I dig it.]
