Oc’s as fathers
A friend of mine did a post about her OC’s as fathers so I decided to do the same. It was hard to pick who and I only did four. Maybe later on I’ll do more. ouo Enjoy.
James/canon: At first, he only wanted a child to pass on his lineage. But after finding the love of his life and learning she was with children-two, can you believe it?-he was ecstatic, if also a nervous wreck. His own father was nothing if abusive and only used James to groom him to take over his company. He wouldn’t want his children to fear and hate him as he did his own father. But how does one take care of children? He could ask his sister, she’s already had a baby, but no no no. His pride would not let him go to his sister, not if she were the last resource on earth! Books. He would read so many books and browse every internet article there was about child rearing. And when the twins were finally here he held his son for the first time and almost cried because how could he, someone as horrible and bloodthirsty as himself, produce such a tiny and fragile thing? And they grow up wonderfully. Even though their mother died early, James was happy to see them roaming the halls of the mansion, playing with their toys or bothering him to stay home and play with them. They were spoiled and got anything they wanted, “no” was a word they heard rarely. Only when they asked the question “Can we have a baby?” was the word on the tip of his tongue.
Gullius/canon: Hundreds of years, hundreds of men and women, probably hundreds of children roaming around. Hypothetically at least. He wouldn’t know, he didn’t care to stick around for longer than a few days. He’s a traveler, a wanderer, he felt the need to go everywhere. At least until his Gabrielle appeared. The world slowed, no...it shone. It shone brightly because Gabrielle was his world. And thought they had only known each other for a few short months, Gullius had never been happier. Of course, she died shortly after Gullius realized how much he loved her. Years go by and she appears again, as perfect as the day he had met her. Reunited, they were to start a family before...the incident. Something he would not like to think about, even if it did take half his sanity away and he still occasionally suffers from hallucinations. But the child he found was not a hallucination. Young, motherless, and half demon like his own many hypothetical children. Her mother obviously left her for her wolves and he couldn’t just leave the poor thing. So he took her home, he cleaned her up, bought her formula. Gave her a name and she became his. He didn’t know the first thing about being a father but everyone had to start somewhere. Annabelle was a joy, she was his little round bundle of love. Watching her learn to crawl, walk, eat solid foods, and hear her say ‘dada’ was amazing. But it was as she was growing up he wanted to panic. That was a demon child. Demons are not good people by nature. Having to help her reign in the destructive tendencies was tiring but she grew up well enough, she had enough love and compassion to give to the world. And Gullius could not have been prouder.
Marvin/non-canon: Oh god no...oh GOD NO! He was a horrible candidate for a father! How...no! That was not allowed to be! He couldn’t even take care of his little sister properly! He couldn’t take care of a kid! Even though Gabriel offered to help, having been a father in his human life, Marvin stood firm. He couldn’t risk hurting another kid, he was not going to live through that pain again. Especially if Alu caught wind of it...no. He would let the chick get full custody of it and that was that. No one could convince him otherwise, not even with Gabriel’s help. No.
Zane/non-canon: Now imagine the biggest smile you can muster plastered onto his face as Zane runs around with a whole football team of children. Zane has always wanted a big family, the more the merrier! He’d carry them around on his back, in his arms, and probably have a few attached to his legs as he runs. Zane is your fun dad while he let’s their mother-or mothers depending on if he carries out his wants for a polyamorous relationship- do more of the stern upbringing. He litters his children with hugs and kisses and tells them almost everyday “I love you, don’t you ever forget that.” Since his own parents died when he was still a teenager, leaving just him and his younger brother, he always wants to be there for his kids. And though he is incredibly laid back and fun loving, Zane will have his stern moments. Mainly when the children are older and it looks as though they might start doing questionable things. That’s when the teeth get bared and the claws come out. DO NOT mess up your life by stealing and doing drugs and drinking until you’re sick. “I LOST A FINGER BECAUSE I STOLE SOMETHING I SHOULDN’T HAVE! DO YOU WANT YOUR FINGER CUT OFF LIKE I DID???” It’s harsh but reality is harsh. But if they cry, Zane goes back to being a puppy and holds them until they feel better. Apologizing for raising his voice and scaring them. “I love you, I don’t want anything to ever happen to you.”
