4t2 Party Essentials Kit

Conversion of everything from the Sims 4 Party Essentials kit.

Key features:

28 objects

Quarter tile placeable, smoothed out meshes, no shine on basic meshes, shine on some for special effects

Streamers are curtains, they have diagonal version (thank you @platinumaspiration)

Bar is functional (thank you @lordcrumps)

Disco ball is functional and animated (cloned from a disco ball by Franky and heavily edited)

Punch station is functional (cloned from an object by @crispsandkerosene), has full and empty state

Fog machine is functional (cloned from an effect by Sophie-David, further edited by @gummilutt to make it turn on and off on command)

TV and both music players (speaker and turntable) are functional too

Fiber Optic Garland comes in normal and neon version, you can keep both at the same time

Most items are categorized under "general-party", feel free to recategorize if it bothers you

Lord Crumps' shadow file is required for the shadows to work (not included this time)

Hi! I was wondering if I could do a WCIF on the sofa in Tyler's Townhouse living room! It looks like such a nice neutral modern couch, but for the life of me I cannot find it anywhere! I am guessing it is some kind of CC sims 4 couch possibly?

I would also like to know a little more about the kids of my old timey fave Will 🥰 Hugo for 4 & 38 please, and Felix 10 & 30 :3 And I feel like Emil is basically an honorary extra bro, because of Felix and Sara being so close, and him being good buddies with Hugo, so can I have 39 & 43 for Emil too 🙏🏻🫶🏻

4 - Any subjects they excel at? Any they don't like?

Hugo is good at creative subjects, not as much at music but he likes to write and draw. He's also decent at history, he struggles to remember specific dates but reading about past events tickles his imagination.

And he hates gymnastics. Hugo follows sports but mostly enjoys them when his role includes a seat and snacks.

38 - Are they organized or messy?

I wouldn't call Hugo organized, but he does clean up his messes. It worries him to leave stuff on the floor, someone might stumble on it and get hurt.

10 - How do they do their hair? Or facial & body hair?

Felix hopes his hair appears like he hardly does anything to it, but he needs plenty of water and hair gel to pull that off with his gravity-defying messy wavy hair type.

Otherwise his body hair routine is pretty chill, he shaves his beard into shape once in every few days and plucks eyebrows at the same time if they seem to be going rogue.

30 - Do they read books? What kind?

Nope, Felix isn't much of a reader, he needs to move to be able to focus. He does sometimes listen to audiobooks while exercising and prefers biographies of athletes for that.

39 - What is their guilty pleasure?

Stand-up! Emil often binge-watches stand-up shows when he's procrastinating from studying. He would love to try performing himself sometime but there aren't any stand-up clubs nearby Foxfire.

43 - How would they describe themselves?

Emil would say that after a pilot run named Sara, their parents honed the process and delivered him. The final product has more processing capability, a volume control, and is shipped with a flawless sense of humor.

ALfixes Replacement Project - Extracted Fixes and more!

Tired of the many conflicts with ALfixes? Can't put up with Pescado hiding features in his mods? Then this might be of your interest.

ALfixes is something that has bothered me for a while, ever since I found out that it deletes date cards. No wonder I've barely seen them in game!

With Charity's incredibly helpful documentation on the topic, we now have a compiled list of mods to fully replace the few documented features that weren't already fixed by EAxis in Mansions & Gardens/later patches/Ultimate Collection. What you'll need to download is...

(List under the cut. Also stick around for my own extracted features, which I haven't found corresponding mods for.)

Tunaisafish's Enthusiasm Overhaul (which among many other things, also stops the hobby enthusiasm from decaying when playing in other households);

Simler90's Matchmaker Fix (she will behave properly when showing up at community lots);

AncientHighway's Love Potion Restock Fix (the game does not incorrectly restock it as a nice potion);

Gummilutt's M&G Physiology Fix (no longer maxes out the Body skill when working out after learning the skill);

BoilingOil's Skill While Tinkering (NOT included in alfixes, but mentioned/linked in Charity's thread);

Tunaisafish's Get Parents Fix (NOT even mentioned in Charity's thread, but this an essential corruption fix to a problem that got even worse in Apartment Life. alfixes DOES address the bug, but I didn't need to extract it because Tuna already did a much better job, from scratch).

And as the newest arrival and most unknown, I'd love a little deep dive on one of my newest faves, Blair! I'm just a taaaad late, but November 12th 2021 you said we could send you a character and you'd answer the listed things, and I want to know all of this for Blair.

In addition since I'm greedy for all the info, I'd love to know answers for questions 27, 29 and 35 from the original list :3

Sexuality Headcanon: Bisexual Gender Headcanon: Cis female A ship I have with said character: I'm currently pretty open to anything Blair comes up with! Will be interesting to see where the thing with Daph goes, if anywhere. She did flirt a bit with Shay too, I could see that working on a physical level but hard to ever say about Shay for sure. And then there are the uni-goers returning for the next round, I could see Blair liking Dari's style but the personality I'm not as confident of lol. A BROTP I have with said character: She and Sara have potential for bonding over Felix's messiness. And it'd be interesting to see how she gets along with Luke, since in theory Luke could finally have someone to talk about music with. A NOTP I have with said character: Most everyone of gen 1. And I don't think she and Amy would work at all. A random headcanon: There's been an increase in bees on Chase's rooftop after Blair moved in. She loves perfumes, seems to attract them. Erika might regret not offering to accommodate Blair in her house since there's never too many pollinators in her garden. General Opinion over said character: As always, writing a new sim is a bit stressful, but the first round with Blair was a fun time. I would've preferred her to not start a war with Chase but oh well. I should know by now that adding a plantsim to that house is practically a request for drama.

27 - What would they change about themselves? What would others change about them?

Blair would like to be calmer. She just feels so restless all the time, you know? There's clearly some kind of discord in her energy balance. If only staying still wasn't so damn boring.

Some agree, her former bandmates would say she's too indecisive and whim-prone to make long-term plans with.

29 - Their favorite drink?

She doesn't spit into a glass, but herbal tea or rum always works.

35 - What is their dream house like?

Blair would prefer it small and cozy, lots of seats and sofas for her and possible guests to relax on, colors and patterns splattered all over but with more attitude than in your standard boho-dream. And she'd have a garage as big as the rest of the house, for jamming and impromptu private gigs. That's what garages are useful for, no soundscape as authentic as the ear-piercing, blunt echo of them.

1 - Something they try to hide? Something they like to show?

Cia will forever try to hide her bed head from the world. Her family can maybe be allowed to see it, but in no way she's walking out of the front door without every strand perfectly in place.

And she'd like people to notice her flawless sense of fashion.

18 - Are they easy or hard to get along with?

Cia is very upfront and judgey and doesn't think it's her problem if someone can't take it. Also, she has no sense of humor whatsoever. Not the easiest to befriend, definitely.

3 - Do they enjoy or avoid attention?

Lils is pretty neutral about it. She can be quite loud and she's generally the kind of person who's always moving, so she tends to draw attention, but it's not her intention. She doesn't care if people notice her or not.

16 - Do they have scars or other physical injuries?

With werewolf healing, it's pretty hard to scar her! But she's quite dexterous and has never hurt herself badly either.

11 - Are they spiritual or religious?

Irida doesn't believe in any god figures, but she has a bit of faith in karma. She thinks there are things in the world that she doesn't understand, and despite being a scientist, she doesn't have an urge to explain everything.

28 - What kind of parent would they be?

Irida would be a pretty laid-back parent, the kind who acts as support and guide when it's needed. She would count it as a success if her child could talk to her about everything.

22 - Are they a good liar?

Paige is a brilliant liar. She has one hell of a poker face and is quick to come up with made-up explanations. Never works on Deanna, though!
